In her Q&A on yt this morning someone asks about advice for people doing their first marathon or Dopey Challenge. She effectively says, "Get time on your feet, get used to standing, walking around, hiking, whatever, just to get used to it." I am genuinely so confused if this conflicts with her "I did not train for the marathon" script she has been following.

I'm going to defend virtual challenges for running/walking/swimming/moving in any way since they allowed me to keep my sanity during multiple harsh lockdowns where I live. I would not have gotten up and got to 10km daily when I was only allowed to leave my home for 1h a day to do groceries or get medical treatment. But 5k for nearly 50 bucks? What?
I paid less for challenges well over 1000 km/621 miles with many "postcards" filled with information about the place I was virtually running through and a road to follow with Google Streetview access along the way. And prettier medals to boot. I like Disney but they sure know how to milk their audience. I'd never pay this amount of money for 5k, sorry.

I genuinely (no snark) prefer dirty car camping by abandoned nuclear plants videos to this Disney garbage. Please make it stop. I can’t even hate watch this. I just hate it. Also, I would have a complete meltdown if I had to figure out what to do with all the junk and medals that come with each race. I don’t even want the stupid toothbrush kit my dentist office gives out with every cleaning 🛑
