Fan fic: he was thinking it until Poopsie said well son, it will make much more sense for you to stick around a few more years, save more cash, and you never know what the future will bring. There could be something very interesting happening, before you know it. I am sure he wasn’t hinting at Covid, either.

To work on their marriage, Jen would have had to admit that she is not perfect and she would/will never do that. At the same time she protects and nourishes her insecurities which keeps them alive and well and they give her a platform for her many neuroses. I'm willing to bet that with all her navel gazing and endless hours of overthinking her life, she blames Don 1,000% for all the wrongdoing and dissolution of the marriage. Not one time will she ever admit that she could have done something differently or that something she did do was not conducive to a loving and authentic relationship. Sadly, she will keep this poison bubbling inside her and will spill it all over her innocent children.
