Correct me if I'm wrong,
but in the 1960s Coppertone had the original spf 4 in brown bottle with yellow top and "Shade" spf 15 in white bottle. I think there may have been an spf 8 later with a green top.
No one, back then, wanted to block any sun so we went for baby oil, cooking oil or even Crisco shortening. We were all terribly uninformed.
