Meanwhile there were no other offers. The sales person was just trying to create a sense of interest and urgency. The other trick is offering a higher alternative price against a lower price gives a perception of a deal. When in fact the lower price was the price all along.
She’s not a good dealmaker. That’s like Don saying he made a “good deal” with RM1. When in fact he bought it at the high point of the market and actually lost money when it sold.
