The thing about pets is that they're dependent on us. A paraplegic dog gets no say in how to best care for them or who to have care for them. Winnie's wellbeing is completely in Jen's hands. Some pet parents do amazing jobs at caring for animals in similar situations to Winnie. They can have a great quality of life and handle chronic pain well through a variety of care. Until they don't and it's time to end the suffering.
Jen is no such pet parent. Winnie stands no chance of prolonging her life in a satisfying manner (for her, not Jen). That's what's so maddening about the situation. If she could splitsville it ex-Mrs. Don Ross style, it'd be great and she'd have a shot at paying for proper care with half of Jen's money. But alas.

She is such a selfish asshole about that poor dog. The only reason Winnie is still alive is because Jen will be well and truly alone if she dies. And comparing a paraplegic PERSON to a dog that has lost the use of it's back legs, is in constant pain and discomfort and is 95 in human years is just gross. I hope she gets attacked for making that comparison because that's disgusting.

I actually agree with her about the backpacks and find it incredibly wasteful that we as a society buy so much all new stuff at the start of each school year. And not spending $$$ bc kids outgrow things so quickly, their tastes change, they lose things…
That said, Jen can’t use that justification (even though others might) when she buys herself so many one time use outfits! Clearly waste and consumerism are not the problem - it’s selfishness!

Her vintage Starbucks mugs make her “very” happy. She wanted less mugs. Now she is glad she kept these from her princess days of yore. Just for fun and being frivolous. Soooo many reasons. Quality of life for a person is different to quality of life for an animal. An animal needs to have the basics in place for it to have a reason to keep living. With a person you can explain to them what is happening, they can properly communicate to you what pain they are feeling and where, they understand the treatment they are having, they have a future to anticipate. For an animal to be completely immobile and screaming in pain, and none of it is treatable or will get better, then it's just cruel to keep them alive when they are elderly and deteriating.
I just can't with this hag.
My vet told me that animals will also often hide that they are experiencing pain because it makes them vulnerable to predators. You often won't know that your pet is suffering until the suffering is really bad. So if Winnie is literally yelping then... I don't know what else to say.

So she shot a pack with me video today while her kids were sick? Please tell me she did it yesterday.. At least she didn't get on the Peloton today. I bet it totally chaps her hide when she has to have the kids when she expects not to. I think that set her off in a bad mood and decided to rant online.
