Kind of OT, but I had a total Lisa moment today. I cleaned out my books and took a bunch to Savers last week. One was a book that came with a video game as part of a collector’s set. Oddly enough, I pulled out that game to replay it this week (after not playing it for two years!) and thought, “I need to get my book out!” only to remember I gave it away.
So, me being a Lisa, I went on eBay to find another and I swear the same book I donated was on there selling for an obscene amount. Turns out it’s rare and what are the chances of one of these rare books being sold in my city? Someone found it at Savers and made a tidy profit and I was ready to re-purchase it if the price didn’t go so high.
Moral of the story is think carefully before donating and don’t be a Lisa and try to get it back again! 😂
