Interesting that she didn’t mention feeling sick anymore during the recap at the end, after it was over and she managed to finish.
Funny how that works, isn’t it Jenbo?!

QUOTE (justalurker @ 17/8/2023, 11:31) British Columbia in general, specifically Vancouver and Whistler or any other popular touristy places here are extremely overpriced and expensive. In fact it’s one of the most expensive places to live. It sucks. But I can totally see the organizers of this event to attract the types of people who live here and buy into things like this.
btw does anyone know if Jen drove down to vancouver and spent time there?? And they stayed at the Fairmont in Whistler. She left the next day, booked it across BC, never showed any footage or any stops. Went to Banff. Spent one day there and out of Canada.
She won't volunteer around home because then she'd have to do it regularly, interact with the same people. This way she can volunteer for 2 days then nothing for another 363 days.

Yeah I think that was just a red-herring. She was setting it up bc that mountain was kicking that ample ass and she didn't think she could finish. And how does it look to workout hours a day and still not be able to do this? I don't believe she was sick. And again, her lie made her look immensely inconsiderate to all the people she was in close proximity to. She doesn't learn!

The more comments I read, the more I truly believe the average YT viewer is a shut in with low IQ.
Paula, you're an idiot. This challenge was not the type of "hard thing" that saying is referring to.

Just watched the beginning of the video. This 29029 thing seems like a douchey cult. The coaches stood up there saying weird motivational stuff. Why is anyone doing this? And it's not even anywhere close to Everest - lack of oxygen anyone? Hyperthermia? Neither of those things are part of this. What a weird way to spend time.

The whole time she is in the gondola she is holding water, while complaining about how dehydrated she is and needs to drink more. I'm yelling at the screen shut up, put your phone down and drink!

Also: no offense to those doing this event, but it doesn't seem... that hard? You're going up the mountain 19 times. But in between you're sitting on a gondola and then you're down at the bottom 'branding' your little mountain picture into the board. Then you're taking water breaks, snack breaks whatever. I feel like I could do this? Sure it's hard and tiring, but it's not exactly... climbing Everest? lmao

A. For people familiar with the scam that is Rachel Hollis, Rachel did this challenge last year. Thoroughly unsurprising to me that Jen would gravitate to the same self-indulgent, prohibitively expensive version of "DOING HARD THINGS" as Rachel.
B. What is the point of doing this over and over again? Ok Jen, you did it once. It's done. Why the need to do it a second time, let alone a third? Proof that she alone creates these repetitive ruts. Wild my ass. Her only cager is herself.

I saw a post on twitter from Fiona Apple. She is canceling some of her tour dates because her dog of many years is reaching the end of his life and she wants to be there for him. She spoke lovingly of him and you can tell how she would never let him transition without being there for him. This is the kind of care winnie needed. Not just carrying around a picture and being performative for her audience. What a bitch to leave poor Winnie so many times while she was declining. I feel awful to say this but I hope Jen has the same treatment in her last days.

I believe she does these things over and over so that she's perpetually in training to give her something to do. I think the only things to do are going to be self serving and self glorifying. Otherwise talk about a wedding from a year ago that got in the way of one of these self serving events.
I still can't get over self isolating with multiple campsites and buying out roommates, and then buying books about not having friends.

Jen: I want to make friends
Book: an easy way to start a friendship is to just strike up a conversation with someone
Jen: oh no, I can’t do that.

She does these ridiculously expensive events, and her 'Everesting' is about socialising and being sociable. She doesn't seem to understand that the more she isolates herself on a daily basis, the more difficult it is to socialise. She shouldn't be saving up all of her attempts at sociable conversations for events like this, she should be creating regular opportunities for herself, otherwise OF COURSE it's going to be anxiety inducing when you haven't had a normal conversation with another human being, other than your children, for months. If she joined a running or hiking club at home, she'd be out and about every weekend talking to people and making real friends. These 29029 people... she's unlikely to ever see any of them again. She needs to find ways to make actual friends, not just act awkwardly at one-off events like this.

She always goes on about wanting to socialize and put herself out there, then freaks out. She was absolutely shitting herself over the roommate. She was nervous as hell. She 100% pulled something to get rid of the roommate. They didn't pay $5000 and then miraculously not show up, reliving Jennifer Ross of her anxiety.
She wants to "socialize," but she has to be in control. What if someone dares ask her if she's married, or what her job is? That freak can't even answer that confidently. "Socializing" at this event was listening to speeches.
She's hopeless.
