I have always believed:
ONCE AN ADDICT ALWAYS AN ADDICT!
I do not believe Merle is a true dyed in the wool addict.
I had a boss way back in 1993 who was an alcoholic and deep into cocaine BIGLY. When I worked for him he was 3 years sober/clean. Here it is 34 years later and he still attends meetings and practices his 12Step program. He would barely touch Tylenol never mind any opioid/narcotic.
One of my best friends was a straight up alcoholic. She had no desire for drugs. She was sensitive to alcohol. She went to a family gathering during Christmas. Someone made a Rum Cake without the rum but used Rum Extract. This sent my friend into a downward spiral. She was sober for well over 20 years. She passed away and all 3 of her children are raging "tea toters".
Merle and Company give me no reason to believe her STORY about being an addict. No addict in their right mind would, nothing short of, beg for narcotic medication. No addict I know would throw back the Coronas like Merle does or the Margaritas for that matter.
You would think with all the years she's been on YT we would have a glimpse of her working a 12Step program. I'll wait while people search for the video reference. Her son allegedly was killed by a drunk driver, yet her remaining family seems to center their celebrations around alcohol. That doesn't make sense.
Merle IS a walking talking PDR (Physicians Desk Reference) which is like a dictionary or encyclopedia of medicines that Drs use.
If you have a question about OTC medications just ask Merle. She seems to be quite knowledgeable.
I am/was a fan the the TV show 'MOM'. It was funny and inciteful. There were a couple of episodes of the main character hurting her back and the debate to use pain meds. ..which for content did not go well.
I think Glenda Merle Hargrove Burgess Sullivans claim about addiction is
BULLSHITT.

Don’t want to eat?? That’s all she’s shown is eating. Of course she got more icy, she thrives in pain meds. I see jr is dumping her back home. How is she going to climb those stairs if she can’t drag herself up? She’ll definitely being whining about that and how hungry she is very soon. Those doorknob subs better get that doordash going! Surely they see how she likes to eat!

She's kind of disappointed, doctor told her to take the sling off and use her arm. Jail dumped her back at the apartment. She will probably throw a party this weekend. They ate out after the doctor. I am rather stunned that she went in public like this, with her boob hanging half-way out! 😱
