In reality, between Don’s family’s multiple trips to Utah (presumably they go for at least part of August and some of the Christmastime trip) and annual family reunions in the Hamptons, plus any other trips they go on as a family, the KIDS travel a lot more than most kids.
And yet somehow they defy the typical nature of well-traveled kids, things like flexible schedules and go with the flow nature.
Plus all the back and forth between the two homes; those poor kids have zero consistency in their lives.

The world their parents have created for them is unpredictable and scary. Compounded by a mother who can’t handle her children’s discomfort so they’ve never been taught how to deal with negative experiences.
Jen has the kids 26 weeks a year, a full four of those have been spent away. When they are home, the house is cold and empty, their stuff is relegated to out-of-the way places (remember when Jen relocated their toys while they were with Don?), and their mother avoids them with exercise and various other obsessions.
I feel so bad for the kids. It’s exactly opposite of the environment they need to thrive.

Those kids will grow up thinking that their mother feeding them was a heroic act on her part because she does the bare minimum on anything relating to them and I bet she reminds them all the time how grateful they should be to her, for even the tiniest of things, like playing with them.
She really is a shit human and mother.

My kids never wanted to go anywhere when they were young. We took them to Disney World and they weren't impressed. We did a couple of road trips. That was it. But of course, my cager is a workaholic and I didn't want to take the kids places by myself.
I bet by the time the kids are teenagers they will be living with Don full-time. Don't know what age they can specify where they want to live.
