It’s been years since Don left. She should be ashamed and embarrassed to act like she does for the world to see but Don his family especially his wife and her friends. Surely at some point they have to speak to each other. I would be mortified if I were Jen . She should straighten up clean up and act better her daughter is watching. Wow, that Elyse Myers post. It's like Western selfish individualistic and materialistic behavior taken to the extreme. It's all about ME. What *I* want, *MY* money spent on *ME*, *ME* not having to care about *MY* reactions towards others, because I don't have to care about anybody's feelings, and everybody else will admire *MY* stuff and how expensive it is. I swear, just this one idea she threw out there encapsules all the worst of our materialistic and individualistic society, which is the exact opposite of what Christmas should be about. Just this ONE time out of the year actually caring about others and making an effort for them ... that's apparently unthinkable for some.

I totally agree, and in fact Jen has inspired me to be the opposite of her in 2024 and do more for others. I'm going to do more volunteering and more fundraising for charity. I'm very lucky to live comfortably and have a really good job, and lots of people in my community aren't so fortunate. I'm tired of people being more and more selfish, phrases that Jen uses like 'My Truth' and 'What works for me' are systematic of a breakdown in society and people actually caring about others. It suits Jen down to the ground because she has always been selfish, but putting it on social media like it's something to be proud of is what bothers me the most.
