It swung back to being cheaper and easier to just get a hotel room. These people have a million rules now and expect you to do housekeeping, while still charging a cleaning fee. 
We’ve only stayed in one and it was my cousin’s so I didn’t worry about any privacy breaches. They didn’t require us to do any cleanup but I did do some laundry and a quick wipe down of everything because it was staying at a family home instead of some stranger’s home. I don’t think I stay in someone else’s. I’ll take a hotel room please!

The hosts do not answer most comments. Only one complained about the Unwritten rules, apparently they did not follow the written ones, which the hosts scolded them for. It seems weird that the hosts are not the owners, they said the owners inspect weekly because they want to keep the fluffy white rugs clean, which is why no shoes are allowed. They say that they want all leftover food scraps donated to the farm animals and other food left they say they donate to shelters. Seeing the crap left in her fridge, I believe that is not true.
The more I see the AirB&Bs she stays in, the less I want to ever rent one.

It just seems like she does all this stupid hiking as a way to indulge in her eating disorder. And of course temporarily escape her life.
And the croissants aren't the quirky flex she thinks they are.

When we emigrated from Africa to Netherlands we got established by staying in 3 different AirBnbs over the course of a month with two being on the same property. This was in 2019, no cleaning was expected and it was more reasonably priced than a hotel. Also, we were after something pet friendly as we had our two cats with us.
The first host was great but it was in the middle of nowhere with a half hour walk to the nearest bus stop. The other location was more conveniently located but the host was a pill about the cats. She didn't want them in certain areas and she was rather intrusive as she also stayed on the same property. Don't allow pets if you don't want pets.
So yeah, I am done with AirBnbs and these weren't even bad experiences.

Her whole thing was the the forever vacation home time. We know she loved it, that is why she would go in advance of everyone. She loved planning that Utah trip and now she uses other trips as a substitute for that one. It was her me time of being the grand Dame. Now she keeps up the façade of doing these hikes while secretly hating it because it is not where she really wants to be. I truly believe that was the time when she felt like a Ross.
