Hearing her talk about her nephew reminds me of why I can watch her. She's not a heinous unfeeling person. She can be ridiculous, but she clearly loves her family even when she awkwardly expresses that. I think Jen is a train wreck for many reasons but she is not a bad person. . -

Homebaking is nice but she always stressed herself out with it. It's ok to buy pies especially when you're hosting that many people. She had one apple and one pumpkin pie which made no sense with the number of guests to me . -

Agreed. Although at first I thought they were her feet and I almost passed out.

This is my favourite, I've always loved the apple pie drama and Don coming home early to help her peel apples. I would never ask my husband to do something like this, especially if I'm home ALL DAY LONG and he is instead working to let me be home ALL DAY LONG.
I've always appreciated how well the family accepted the nephew/grandson, even if he's not blood related. It's not something to be taken for granted with some families.. -
