I’m waaaay behind but on the subject of masks—
My granddaughter (who I raised as my own) found out yesterday her dad is most likely brain dead. She’s having to make end-of-life decisions alone at 21 years old. My heart is breaking for her. But I digress...
So my husband was taking her to see her father in the hospital last night. I had about 15 minutes to make them both masks, so I found a no-sew pattern/tutorial and cut up some heavyweight t-shirts I had on hand.
But then again, I’m not as altruistic as Jen. She’s supporting the small businesses with her purchases (except those from Target, Whole Foods, Amazon, etc. etc. etc.) And depleting Don’s bank account.
Expect to see rants from me all day.
I need to vent, and Jen gives me plenty to work with.

Because all the Mommy bloggers try to outdo each other with how early they get up “to be productive.”
Mix & Match Mama is famous for this (and Jen tried to get her attention several years ago during the gross 3 ingredient pumpkin muffin stage). I’m sure there’s plenty of others that she follows that do it too.. -

The news is scaring everyone. Lets keep it in perspective. This won't last forever. We will overcome all of it. Financial and otherwise. The social distancing is essential. In 1918, half of a million died in a population of close to 100 million. That is 5%, and there wasn't a lot of distancing going on. My Great Grandmother died because of it, along with one of her 10 children. She has no clue. -

Clearly you need some Self Care. Take the day off from being productive, eat overpriced truffles, exercise 4 times (but snap a smug yoga shot), take a bath and go to bed by 9:30, tired or not..
