Watched the Time Management video above. Jen really was a five-year-old playing house. I wonder if she lined up Winnie and her stuffies and played school, too?
That much family togetherness always kind of creeped me out. I love my parents/sisters but a schedule for hour-by-hour food and the whole LA thing with autograph kits and the works? oooooookkkkkk I thought Jen had found her tribe and would die there.
Then again, what do I know. She was obviously just putting on a show... This now is her true authentic self. Schedules and societal pressures be DAMNED.
When I first discovered Jen I would watch all of her videos except for the ones with Don’s side of the family in them. I mean, Jen was already bizarre, but Don’s family was so cringeworthy and creepy—I couldn’t stand the second-hand embarrassment. I think I found GG when I googled The Raven Foundation and was so happy that there were others who thought the same
I found her at the beginning of the organizing, so never really watched her vlogs or housewife life channel. Once I went down that rabbit hole, I also found his family just so odd...
I’m sure this has been discussed at length here, but watching the New Years vlog just now reminded me of how she talks in the cutesy baby talk voice with Don’s family too!!! It’s the same voice she did with him but with an undertone of tipsy or trying to act like an airhead? Either way, it’s ridiculous and I hope they ban her from the “family home in Utah” going forward.
Jen is going to be absofreakinlutely miserable when she’s no longer welcome at the Ross clan get-togethers. She’ll be on social media constantly with her need to find somewhere she can cackle and project her feelings onto Winnie.
This is another reason that she should have known better than to blow up her marriage. She has no one in her life who supports her like the Rosses did. What exactly did she think was going to happen when she untamed herself? Did she think Suzanne would remain her dear friend for life? Dummy.
If she thought she was miserable and unseen before, there’s a tough lesson in gratitude coming her way. She’s going to quickly find out that not everyone in the world is willing to humor her the way a Ross would.

And there are FOUR therapists named Judith in Evanston...
This video was 1 year prior to the divorce and already after the removal of “happy wife.” It’s interesting to rewatch in hindsight. I can totally see now where she was one Glennon Doyle book away from scuttling her life. After she went on and on about how great her therapy relationship was, I wonder how she got to where she couldn’t be honest with Judith about 6-7 months later.
I do wonder if Judith also saw Jen's mother's day meltdown and maybe thought to herself : are you sure that new therapist is working any better for you ?
Also, I am re-watching a lot of her older videos, especially 2013, and...I noticed it before, but never to this extent : she had such a hard time speaking normally. She would use literary words to describe the most basic thing and other times she would just use adjectives that really were not appropriate for the context. For example, she would finish a yoga session and say: that was DELICIOUS! But that is a very tamed version of other words she would choose to describe someone's cooking for example : beauteous, glorious...the list goes on.
Oh and every dark cloud she ever saw was OMINOUS. I mean, really ?
Basically, I am wondering if it was insecurity around the Ross family that made her speak in a way that really felt awkward and made her look like an idiot ?
Anyway, I am so annoyed with her lack of ability to stick to a posting schedule - hardly screams "career women" vibes. She was much better with the posting schedule before. In on video she even says : "I'll ONLY be posting twice this week"...wow! What a change from now.
