What the hell is wrong with her fan girls telling her her decorations are so awesome and warming🙄 The lazy ass didn’t do anything special to make it look nice it’s so obvious she knew she had to decorate because of her social media job and it’s a fail, she did it at bare minimum and could care less. Oh yes Jen your 3 and 5 year old or whatever age they are now are going to actually tell you they want more decorations is she for real those kids aren’t going to upset Mommy dearest😔 When I heard her say she couldn’t physically decorate she didn’t have it in her I thought I was going to lose it😤 this is the woman that exercises at least 3 times a day but physically can’t put up Christmas decor in her house does she realize what a absolute idiot she sounds like! I’m sorry but I swear I don’t get how her own mother or father aren’t telling her to take a break from social media but not surprised I think they were so thrilled to get Jen married and out of the house I’m sorry her parents seem to be distant and cold but maybe I’m wrong. I almost feel sad for her I think there is so much more going on that has made her this way thanks to her parents because it’s not normal!

Today’s video on the rewatch thread is so much better. She drives around the neighbourhood showing Christmas lights. Why can’t she do that with the kids? All the joyful things she did over the years were JustForJen. Jen does not share anything. Not even joy. Not even with her children.

It’s never, like, actual laughter. It’s like, get out phone, start filming, look at self in mirror while pretending not recording, then make eye contact with self in phone screen, then a weird dissolve into grimace “chuckles” (it’s not laughter and not giggles, chuckles is the closest thing I can think of, and it’s not that either) while scrunching nose and shaking head. And if the sound is on, we have a 50/50 chance at hearing “I don’t know, you guys.”
Watching her interact with her own children always looks to me like she’s an aunt or a family friend, babysitting as a favor. Or, like, their “caretaker”, not their mother. If I didn’t know they were her kids, I wouldn’t be able to figure that out based on how she interacts with them. I can’t put my finger on why. I’m not a super lovey dovey kind of mom, so it’s not like I expect that out of her. She just looks so detached and awkward, while desperately trying to come across as attached and natural. It’s weird.

That's the interesting thing about doing the rewatch and watching her vlogmas now at the same time. She is supposedly so much happier now, untamed, in a better place, broken free from the Ross shackles. Yet when you compare then and now... she is miserable. I think she has to convince herself that her life is better now because Don dumped her and she was blindsided. But really she is pining for the child free days when she was married and happy. If only they'd never had kids.
