There was enough nervousness and anxiety there that I really do think she thought she had a roommate. There may have been some confusion/uncertainty leading up to it, like maybe she was on a wait list or something (she says something along the lines of “I’ve learned I’m definitely having a roommate. The single occupancies are all booked up.”). She seemed truly uptight for a while.

I know safety wasn’t the basis for Jen’s concern, but I actually think it’s really irresponsible for there to be a “stranger” roommate option. You are in those rooms to change, use the bathroom, and sleep, all of which are vulnerable. Yes, it’s part of an event of like-minded people, in a hotel full of staff, but I can see it easily leading to issues (a misplaced item could be seen as stolen, inappropriate comments or actions could be made - intentional or otherwise). From a liability perspective, I’m very surprised the event’s legal team supported a “stranger” roommate option.

She definitely has a temper/impulse control problem. She films herself shouting at a poor CVS pharmacy guy and seems to get fired from jobs fairly frequently.

I imagine as a (former) stripper and drug user you have to be pretty aggressive or get eaten alive, so I guess I get it, to a degree. But every time I start to sympathize with her, she shows herself interacting with another person, and it’s clear she’s a nightmare to be around.

This thing is just so stupid. What makes Everest special is that summiting means you are literally standing at the top of the world. Also, “death zone” climbing is nothing like what 29029 hiking is. The difference is so fundamental that 29029 may as well be swimming when compared to climbing death zone peaks. The endurance for 29029 is hiking at a continuous incline, with almost no stopping, within a set period of time. The endurance in actual 20,000+ climbing is climbing over two weeks and enduring decreasing oxygen, when finally you are at a height where there’s literally not enough oxygen for your body to regenerate. It’s apples and oranges. Even without arguing one is harder than the other, it’s just two fundamentally different athletic activities and the 29k number is meaningless given the differences.

The fact that they call this “Everesting” is absurd.

It is astonishing how much of Jen’s life was c*ck blocking Don. Every time I pop in the rewatch thread, I’m amazed how we never noticed before but, with what we know now, it’s so glaringly obvious.

Sorry if it was posted here, but Cody from Peloton is releasing a book in September. Stay tuned for Jen to talk about it incessantly.

He’s also visiting a suburb, Naperville, in his book tour. She might not be able to visit due to her travels.

Isn’t Naperville where she found Blue? Worlds collide.

Btw, did we discuss the bacteria rice?? In her home vlog she pulls out of tub of bacteria rice, talks about taco Tuesday while shoveling the cold rice into her shark jaws. She then says, she heard the comments about how she shouldn’t be leaving it out so long, duly noted, and now she makes herself a burrito bowl with the leftovers.

    WHAT?!?!

Have we EVER heard Jen take constructive criticism on board? Especially when it comes to her choices regarding the Circumstances? She usually doubles down (witness: trash plates).

I can only think she leapt on an excuse to consume more refined carbs.

The math never made much sense to me - how much could they have gotten from the sale of a small company in regulatory trouble? But, without a doubt, Don and the Rosses are incredibly responsible spenders, so I can only believe if Don isn’t working it’s because he can easily afford it, along with expenses for five kids (don’t bother to @ me with tales of rich grandparents; Tens would not have been in the 99% position she was in, if money wasn’t an issue).

With regard to Jen, she’s definitely not in the same position she was, but she has no mortgage and, as maddening this is to think, between Patreon and affiliate links, her travels are entirely funded by her “job.” During the two weeks a month she is home in her empty mausoleum, she’s spending money on kale, bacteria rice, and activity books from Target. Even with having to buy her own health insurance and property taxes, I’m sure she’s banking the vast majority of her alimony and child support.

(I love speculating on Jen’s financial situation but always feel slightly guilty about stomping on GrownUpStickerBook ‘s dreams of Jen blowing all her money and learning how the other half lives. Don’t worry; it’s still possible she falls for a romance scam and spends her remaining days under a bridge surrounded by Reisenthal bins.)

I’ve made similar posts to this before about Christine, but no one on this board gives me the ick more than her. She is unpredictable, narcissistic, and angry. I believe she’s more likely than even some of the heroin addicts with threads on here to deliberately harm someone, including her children. She scares me.

Just out of curiosity if nothing else I would really like to know what is always always always always going on in her life

She's always processing, managing, working through

    What ????

    Honestly, I'd like to know

You know, I think it’s her quest for unconditional love.

Long armchair analysis under spoiler. Or maybe it’s a bunion pic…

    SPOILER (click to view)
She clearly feels her parents loved each other more than her. This is possibly true, though maybe it’s more they enjoyed each other’s company more than that of their kids (not a super unusual GenX situation).

She found the worshipping, fawning Don and it turned out his love was conditioned on the wonderland not shutting down for an extended period of time. Again, it would have helped if she weren’t an ungrateful btch, but her refusal to put out being the straw that broke the camel’s back, and what led to her replacement, is something she would see as unfathomably callous.

She found the parents (or at least mother) she had always dreamed of and it turned out Suze’s love and endless indulgence was predicated on Don not locking in a new wife with better hair.

From Jen’s perspective it’s been one run of abandonment after another. She’ll never be done processing since she’ll never find another mark (husband, friend, parent figure) she can suck dry.

She is so jealous of the fact that the kids had camp for Don’s half of the month and it is done now. She cannot send them to camp and wash her hands off of them during her babysitting half.
Stop with the fake excitement that the kids are going to be with you, Jenny. We see right through you

Exactly. She’s pissed his unemployed ass had childcare for most of his summer custody.

Do they no longer do the Utah summer fam jam?

If not, poor old Jen. Had to have that second kid to get a boy, which is what finally pushed her over the edge, all for the Ross empire and traditions to come crashing down within two! years.

She’s said recently (IG stories, maybe?) with regard to her change to travel content, that when “people” tell her that her numbers are dropping she thinks “good” because she only wants people watching who want to watch her.

Unless her current patrons stay around forever, she still needs a source for new patrons, so she still needs to keep posting desirable content to YT.

I can foresee 50 years later her still talking through the camera to four Jenions and Paula and charging them $5 for the privilege.

Did someone upthread say she’s gotten remarried? If so, good for her.

I also think it’s such a shame what she’s done to her pretty face. She has delicate features so really shouldn’t be messing with filler and the like.

I haven’t watched her or checked the thread in years. Did she finally get a nose job?

Not to give Gene too much credit, as I’m sure she smelled like a locker room after a boys 14+ hockey tournament, but I’ve found people like Cody Boo, who are super engaged in front of an audience, are not that nice in person.

Mallory Brooke (smaller influencer who has been around a long time) is calling her out for stealing another smaller influencer’s designs and name for the loungewear.
