We have 4 incubators going now. I don’t think they get messed with until a chick hatches. Then my husband will leave the chick in the incubator for a couple of days to make sure it’s dry and warm. They easily fit in the bottom and can move around.
Now, this is a huge incubator. Not to sure about the table top ones.
I think he does open it to candle the eggs. I really can’t see him keeping a rotten egg in there.
Like once the chicks start hatching and have cracked the egg I was always told we couldn’t open it anymore until no more cracks (chicks hatching) or all the chicks were hatched. They really are fine in there for a few days. |

| | Ok I might be talking out of my ass here but my grandma always said that as long as an egg had been cracked that you could not open the incubator because the membrane could contract and suffocate the chick. Is that correct? She’s 90 so things definitely could have changed. However I’m wondering if so many chicks had difficulty hatching because Janice kept opening the fucking incubator. Grandma always said that we could only get the chicks out once she inspected to make sure no others were actively hatching. With chicks they all hatch kinda close to one another anyway. Maybe ducks are just different and it’s not an issue to open it up but good lord. Did we really need to hear about how bad the thing smelled a million times? |

| If they were smart they would have a shower schedule. I understand wanting to shower at night after a long day of farm chores. I hate to sleep dirty. I would have the little girls bathe before dinner. Then Sarah and the youngest boy bathe after dinner (Sarah goes to bed early apparently). The older boys I would have bathe about an hour after Sarah and David finish. Then it always seemed as if Janice and Shawn stay up later than the kids, so they could bathe right before bedtime. It seems as if a tankless water heater would be the best option for a large family, in my opinion. We have one and it’s great. It just sucks if we lose power because it needs electric to start up (gas does the heating of the water but there is an electrical component too I guess?) and we have to do sink baths with water we heat on the stove if the power goes out from a storm.
Anyway, the only reason they mentioned that is for $$$$ to roll in. Lazy grifters. If they actually cared this would have been one of the first things they used the YouTube money for! |

Did you notice signs posted which said do not such the rocks. Several times Megan made a point to what? Touch the rocks of course. Even Eve understood do not touch the rocks

I dunno she’s pretty innocent in my opinion.
It’s not that they live with her. It’s that she still treats them like little children. They are fully capable of doing more around the house and making their own meals, doing their laundry, etc.
My kids can live with me forever. I don’t care, but I do expect age appropriate chores and contributions. At the age of her boys I would expect them to every now and again buy a bag of groceries or cook dinner or something. |

| Well you can tell Sarah is the favorite child. She gets her very own sewing room! Her little area in the basement or garage or wherever they have showed before is perfectly adequate IMO. That space would have been better used as a bathroom or even just storage
