| Kudos to Plant Based for the great thread title !
I am stunned by all the parents that went along with the plan. Instead it would have been a great time to talk to their kids about how "Life can throw curve balls ". And it will. A great life lesson. I would tell them how lucky they are to be young and healthy. They still have their memories of football games and pep rallies. And their whole future ahead of them. Focus on the good. It's ok to be disappointed but it isn't ok to find a loophole to do something that is wrong. |

| If I were to get on a plane and fly to Chicago, rent a car and go and park in front of Jens house that would be stalking. Wanting to know what her new place looks like is not stalking. If she had just given us an empty house tour we wouldn't have to go through all this.
I don't think Jen would buy a condo. After all she is a " single mom " with a family so she needs a single family home to go with it. |

| We don't know the exact date that Jen knew for sure that she would be moving sooner rather than later. It looks like the movers have come and gone and she is just finishing the last things to sort. We don't know the date they told her she needed to be finished. It could be that the people making repairs are not available for another 3 weeks.
As far as the memory books to pass on it only makes sense if she puts those items in separate books in a separate box labled "For Family". If it is all mixed in it will probably be thrown out. When people have estate sales they don't have the time or energy to go through 150 books to dig out what they want. It would be a nice project for her after things settle down. |

| | We maybe should be gentle with our Jen right now. After all, she hasn't had time to do her favorite thing - Faff around the house. I think she likes it better than shopping. However there is just not time with all that reading to do. I thought about sending her some "No Time to Faff" stickers but maybe that would be too mean. |

| | Don isn't going to be on Jens case about keeping her house private. It only took clever bakers a nano second to find his own bach pad. We even know what days the kids are there. Even without seeing the days in her planner, or Jen saying they are with their dad, at some point she will be at Target at noon instead of making grilled cheese sandwiches and it won't be hard to figure it out. |

You are absolutely right. I wish she would re-home them. She must have been getting messages from people about the walls in the boys room or she would not have bothered to paint them. She probably stalled as long as she thought she could - or ran out of excuses. |
