The smoke has been bad here in upstate NY since about Monday but today it smells like your feet away from a fire pit. We’re about 2- 2 1/2 hours from the Canadian border and 3 from Montreal. They canceled my sons soccer game yesterday and probably practice tomorrow plus all outdoor activities at the school have been cancelled including recess.

    Hope everyone is staying safe.

The only reason we are seeing spaghetti at home for dinner and sandwiches for lunch is because Mark was in town. Once Vee is by herself with the twins, it will be back to drive through nuggets and fries and hamburger joints. She ain’t cookin on HER vacation

It’s a shame this is where she is staying home to cook. We went to Niagara Falls last year and we still talk about how delicious the food was in Buffalo. Every night, we had an absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced dinner. I mean, you’re out there and you’re not even going to go out for WINGS?

Every single restaurant they have been to this far is a chain with locations all over the country most with locations in Texas.
I get feeding kiddos with special needs can be hard (referring to rose because nothing can convince me she’s not on the spectrum) but we always manage to find a few fun local places even if it’s just a well rated hole in the wall diner for pancakes. My son is on the spectrum and has a lot of adversions to certain foods (Although it’s gotten A LOT better with work and time). I get a meal or two fun for the kids at a chain that isn’t close to home but literally not one damn meal so far. Even the pizza in the hotel was from dominos. You can’t tell me that there wasn’t a local pizza joint you could have tried instead.

Those Nancy drew books are for ages 6-8. Typical.

All of Paige’s stuff should have been shipped to her by now by Miss money bags lemon.

Since this is a gossip website where we are allowed to have opinions I’m gonna say it. The hair colors look trashy. There. I said it. Is it legal to sign for your kids to have tattoos before 18? Because that will be next.

Poor Oliver has to stay in a boarding place for 17 days. That is so sad to me. I guess 12 year old Bryce will be too busy with the extra space. In his bedroom playing video games to take care of the family dog. My kids are obsessed with our golden retriever. They would beg me not to put him in a kennel if they were home. But then again, lemon raises spoiled entitled children who can’t be bothered. So 🤷🏼‍♀️

How much is that going to cost btw. 17 days of boarding and training.

Depends on the state for tattoos. Some states you can get them at 16 with parental consent. But I agree on the hair. The girls are what 10? 11?

I would NEVER leave my pets for 17 days but I’m a garbage person. I get going on vacation when you have pets for like a week but not 17 days. Oliver’s never been boarded before and she’s just going to drop him off and leave. Poor pup will feel abandoned. Not to mention how much can go wrong with boarding and I doubt lemon did much research. There are many shit boarding facilities out there that either A. Leave the dogs caged the entire time or B. Leave 20 dogs loose without any care for inevitable fights or injuries. B. Happened to our pup at what was supposed to be the best boarding facility in our area. Our dog came home bleeding and scratched to hell which they then tried to say she arrived like that. They were just forced to close after they had two dogs die and a Third go missing in their care.

17 days or boarding is AT LEAST $500. Also what about Beaufort did she have him put down so they didn’t have to deal with him while they were gone?

This is in no way bashing anyone with tattoos but what is the thrill with getting them. I know some can look beautiful as a work of art but over time and as a person ages or lose/gain weight those things change how they look and sometimes the once beautiful tattoo turns into an inked mess...so please help me understand what the thrill is behind it.

I’m pretty heavily tattooed. Personally I feel more like me with tattoos. I think people either get that or they don’t. MOST of my tattoos tell a story a few are just fun but most of them have deep meaning to them. My best friend died of cancer when we were teenagers. My very first tattoo was a memorial piece for her on my shoulder. I’ve gained almost 100 pounds, lost 60 regained 50 and then lost another 25 all while tattooed and they all look mostly the same and are all still readable even the ones that are 15 years old. My personal feelings are so what if they look weird and wrinkly when I’m old because they are still me.

I also think there are different types of tattooed people. Those who get tattoos because they think it makes them look cool and edgy (lemon). Those who just want to represent a moment in their life in a permanent way and may have a few but aren’t really into the culture of it. And those of us that tattoos become part of our identities and take picking out artists and concepts behind pieces seriously.
Then there’s the people that don’t get it at all and that’s cool too. Theres room for all of us.

Why are her tattoos so random?

Not only random but also just not well done. Also doesn’t look like it will read well in 5 years. We know lemon doesn’t believe in taking care of her skin and fine line tattoos need to be babied long after they heal in order to still be readable as they age.

I wonder if Jill has sleep apnea and that’s why she’s so tired all the time. My husband was like that before he got his CPAP. Unfortunately his won’t be cured with weight loss since it’s structural but it’s easily managed and he’s rarely as tired for “no” reason anymore.
  7. .
She’s probably just busy rehoming the sick cats and buying the kids 4 more each to make up for it

I thought verity was addicting but also not good. I don’t know how to explain that. I couldn’t put it down but it also wasn’t very likable. I personally enjoyed 50 shades in terms of spicy books but mostly because it mainstreamed kink. However I don’t deny that it could be interpreted as problematic in terms of their relationship dynamic. And there are much better spicy books that explore BDSM.

I finished a house in the cerulean sea and I have to say it might be the best book I’ve ever read. It just felt like a giant hug. So relaxing, endearing and magical. Went out and bought in the lives of puppets and under the whispering door to add to my TBR. Going to save under the whispering door for our annual beach trip in august.

Currently reading the last time I lied by Riley sager and it’s fine. I’m only 50 pages in but can’t see it being more than a 3 star at this point. His books are so hit and miss for me. I loved lock every door and home before dark, thought Survive the night and final girls were just fine and hated a house across the lake with a bloody passion.

Either her health is really not ok and these appointments in the city are supposed to be addressing that.. OR (more likely IMO) she has been looking for permanent placement for Andrew and these mysterious appointments are regarding a potential home/funding for such a thing hence why they are so “emotionally draining”.

As for driving I can’t really fault her for that. I’m a grown adult from middle of no where New Hampshire where the interstate is two lanes and you might see 4 cars in an hour drive. It was (and still is honestly) very difficult for me to drive in the city especially if I’ve never been to an area before. I spent the entire year we lived in San Antonio not leaving my house without my husband because I couldn’t get behind the wheel without having a full blown panic attack. Part of my current desensitization therapy is driving outside of my typical bubble by myself. A few weeks ago I parked in a parking garage something that Ive never done and typically don’t even do as a passenger my husband will let me out before we enter the garage. I went book shopping as a reward so there’s that.

Where in the heck did Nessy get these cats from? I'm guessing not a rescue. Usually rescues are quite up front about health issues with their animals. I'm betting Craigslist.

I’m pretty sure at least Bryce’s came from petco because she got one of those welcome to your new furry friend packets they give when you do the adoptions from there. They don’t really regulate pet adoptions unfortunately.

When we adopted our pup in Florida they didn’t even ask for a family vet and the adoption was free. We applied to adopt a cat here in NY and the process has been intense with about 10 pages of paperwork and full vet records for all 4 of our pets being required before we’re even allowed to go look at a potential cat. They even actually called my mom who is our designated pet sitter when we go out of town as well as the boarding facility that we use for our pup.

But no vet visit for the dog that was supposedly so sick mark and Bryce couldn’t attend a wedding

She did say she was driving so idk about her parents going with

I’ve driven from Minnesota to Montana and Minnesota to colorado. Minnesota to Iowa etc. I think she is severely under estimating how exhausting driving that many days in a row will be. I can only do two days being the only adult. For me it’s not safe. And she’s far lazier than I am so this will be the most “work” she’s done in years

We’ve done 4 long haul trips during military moves. Virginia to Texas, Texas to Maine, Maine to Florida and Florida to NY she is going to be miserable and her back is certainly going to give out mid trip. Unless she’s only driving 3 or 4 hours a day.

Watching vee show more crap from a haul - I am wondering if she even puts this stuff away - or is their multiple boxes / bags just thrown in the office or a closet .
I cannot see how or why anyone would want all this crap in their house !!
So the girls have ruined her table with painting …. Why would one let them paint at a table that they don’t want ruined ?
    So strange .
Also why buy them so much art crap constantly ?
Enroll them in an art class somewhere . Surely you have the money to do so 🙄
Also she bought them makeup to wear to the wedding if they want to ?
Aren’t they a little young to be allowed to wear makeup to a family gathering / wedding ?
    So strange .
Also she didn’t share what she’s talking about of course but by the end of the summer she has plans to do something that will make her in the public eye more .
What the hell can that be ? 🙄
If it even happens . No clue why she even opens her mouth about her secret plans and ideas .
And why can’t she take Paige out for a spa day for her birthday or something 🙄
Instead they will all be sitting around the air bnb with dollar tree face masks . I know they aren’t normal
But if I was doing something for my teen daughter who lived states away … I would want it to be a special mom and her type of date to do something .

I agree about Paige’s birthday. Isn’t Paige near Chicago. Get tickets to a show, go to an actual spa for a massage and facial, go to a fancy dinner, go to a fancy shopping mall and let Paige pick out a designer purse or something that will last her her adult life.

But back to the old videos where she was also showing her exercise stats. She was doing okay with her exercise at one time. Getting 8,000 steps in her workout. Yes, it took her 90 minutes, and not the best use of all that time just sitting on a bike for so long, also not sustainable, but it was a start. Anything for a jump start. But she quit before she even gave herself a chance.

The minute she was dealing with DOMs (delayed onset muscle soreness) she gave up. Starting to exercise for the first time in your life after being basically bed bound is HARD I won’t deny her that but as newtons law of motion tells us a body at rest stays and rest and a body in motion stays in motion. You have to push past a level of discomfort and remind yourself pain won’t kill you. This has always been Darlene’s biggest hang up and why therapy also would never work for her. She absolutely refuses to experience, live in and then fight through discomfort. The minute she experiences it she needs to seek a quick dopamine hit with shopping or food or decides to wallow in it and make everyone else around her equally as miserable. She has absolutely zero grit as a person.
She really NEEDS to do something about her physical well being now. Women lose around 5-8% of muscle per decade after they turn 30 by 60 that rate is even higher. Considering her lack of muscle mass now in 10 years she won’t be able to physically move her body weight so she either needs to A. Start and stick with a dedicated strength training program and eat an adequate amount of protein or B. Lose a considerable amount of body fat so her muscles don’t need to work as hard. Preferably both

I’m currently reading Vera wongs unsolicited advice for murderers and having a fantastic time with it. I’m a little over halfway done and just loving all of the characters so far.
I needed a good cozy mystery palette cleanser after binging the first 3 ACOTAR books.
I need help selecting my next read before finishing the last 2 ACOTAR books.
    My options are
    1. The house in the cerulean sea by TJ Klune
    2. Hidden pictures by Jason rekulak
    3. We sold our souls by Grady Hendrix
    4. The soulmate by sally hepworth

#4 I have it from BOTM but haven’t read it. You can let me know if it’s worth the read lol.

Update. Just finished the soulmate by sally Hepworth and really enjoyed it. Solid 4 star domestic thriller. Excellent pacing which is something I find is hit or miss with domestic thrillers.

Ended April with 6 finished books which I’m happy about considering 3 of them were part of the ACOTAR series.
    1. Everyone in my family has killed someone by Benjamin Stevenson
    - 3 stars the beginning was fun and witty but if I had to hear about the damn cobwebbed covered field one more time I was going to rip my hair out
    2. ACOTAR
    -easy 5 star
    3. ACOMAF
-4.5 stars dragged in places but still loved it
    4.ACOWAR
    -5 star
    5. Vera wong’s unsolicited guide for murderers by Jesse q. Sutanto
-4 stars. Super cute and heartwarming cozy mystery. I hope she continues on with the series.
