Lemon puts things like her bad back and relaxing before she puts any urgency on prepping salads or doing anything else .
That’s what makes lemon so unrelatable 🙄 she acts like “ taking care of herself” Is so important . And at the top of the list always .
Which it is important to take care of yourself - but that also goes along with what you put in your body - and yes you should allow yourself to rest but that doesn’t mean you sit and watch an entire movie or finish a video game or not get out of bed to you feel like it . There is a great way to balance your busyness and actually accomplish things and take care of yourself .
I know we can’t say it enough
But if I asked my husband to clean a bathroom or chop up stuff for salads on his days off he would do some serious looking in to what I do with my daily life .
And no I’m not saying men can’t help out their stay at home wives and yes mark lives there too he can do stuff . It’s just that the one who’s there the most does so little . 🙄

You hit the nail on the head about mark helping so much. Of course there’s nothing wrong with men doing housework but he bit only has the full financial load but also has to do 50% + of the housework while lemon spends hours in bed and playing video games. She’s not running multiple kids to activities several times a week or actively homeschooling with curriculum planning and field trips. Hell she’s not even making 3 nutritious from scratch meals a day and cleaning up after herself. 95% of the food she makes the family is dump and go or frozen in the oven. Mark does the dishes most of the time and the kids homeschool themselves online for an hour or two a day.
She doesn’t even put much effort into YouTube anymore.

Now that it's summer I kinda feel like Lemon lol. It seems like we do one load of laundry between work clothes, sports uniforms and the pool every day. We normally don't have multiple loads though. And this will come as a shock to lemon, but my son starts the laundry before I get home and drys it too.

We’re only a family of 3 but we’re all very active so we are doing a load or two most days between clothes, towels and bedding. My son is 12 and has been responsible for washing, drying, folding and putting away his own laundry including bedding for close to 3 years. He started doing the towels a few months ago. He still manages to do the laundry, keep his room clean, feed the pets, takes care of the cat boxes and puts away the dishes even though he’s in year round travel sports 4-5 days a week plus band and robotix. It doesn’t really take him more than 15 minutes a day on average. And I’ll share what he gets paid for his chores not to brag but because I’m genuinely curious how much other people decide to pay their kids. He gets $30 a week auto deposited onto his green light card with 20% automatically going towards saving 10% for long term and 10% for short term.

There was a bad accident in Petawawa today, a military helicopter went down during a training exercise crashing into the river. They’re still looking for 2 of the 4 people on board. We know Darlene loves to talk about death so maybe she’ll finally show up :dunno:

In all seriousness, how horrible to not have a loved one return from work.

It hits home particularly hard when it happens during a training exercise because you just don’t expect it.
A good friend of mine lost her fiancée during the big crash in 29 palms. Also just a training exercise.

The only things they couldn’t have done close to home is seeing Paige in Niagara and her friend in MD.
For probably half the price and a whole lot less headache they could have flown to Niagara with mark and Bryce and then rented a car visited her friend for a few days and then fly home from DC

Well she cut the trip short. Another change of plans and drove straight home

It’s Wednesday now and still no new video she promised in her community post.

My bet is Andrew has transitioned to a new home and she doesn’t want to admit it. Or Steve moved out. Or someone had a medical crisis.

The smoke has been bad here in upstate NY since about Monday but today it smells like your feet away from a fire pit. We’re about 2- 2 1/2 hours from the Canadian border and 3 from Montreal. They canceled my sons soccer game yesterday and probably practice tomorrow plus all outdoor activities at the school have been cancelled including recess.

    Hope everyone is staying safe.

The only reason we are seeing spaghetti at home for dinner and sandwiches for lunch is because Mark was in town. Once Vee is by herself with the twins, it will be back to drive through nuggets and fries and hamburger joints. She ain’t cookin on HER vacation

It’s a shame this is where she is staying home to cook. We went to Niagara Falls last year and we still talk about how delicious the food was in Buffalo. Every night, we had an absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced dinner. I mean, you’re out there and you’re not even going to go out for WINGS?

Every single restaurant they have been to this far is a chain with locations all over the country most with locations in Texas.
I get feeding kiddos with special needs can be hard (referring to rose because nothing can convince me she’s not on the spectrum) but we always manage to find a few fun local places even if it’s just a well rated hole in the wall diner for pancakes. My son is on the spectrum and has a lot of adversions to certain foods (Although it’s gotten A LOT better with work and time). I get a meal or two fun for the kids at a chain that isn’t close to home but literally not one damn meal so far. Even the pizza in the hotel was from dominos. You can’t tell me that there wasn’t a local pizza joint you could have tried instead.

Those Nancy drew books are for ages 6-8. Typical.

All of Paige’s stuff should have been shipped to her by now by Miss money bags lemon.

Since this is a gossip website where we are allowed to have opinions I’m gonna say it. The hair colors look trashy. There. I said it. Is it legal to sign for your kids to have tattoos before 18? Because that will be next.

Poor Oliver has to stay in a boarding place for 17 days. That is so sad to me. I guess 12 year old Bryce will be too busy with the extra space. In his bedroom playing video games to take care of the family dog. My kids are obsessed with our golden retriever. They would beg me not to put him in a kennel if they were home. But then again, lemon raises spoiled entitled children who can’t be bothered. So 🤷🏼‍♀️

How much is that going to cost btw. 17 days of boarding and training.

Depends on the state for tattoos. Some states you can get them at 16 with parental consent. But I agree on the hair. The girls are what 10? 11?

I would NEVER leave my pets for 17 days but I’m a garbage person. I get going on vacation when you have pets for like a week but not 17 days. Oliver’s never been boarded before and she’s just going to drop him off and leave. Poor pup will feel abandoned. Not to mention how much can go wrong with boarding and I doubt lemon did much research. There are many shit boarding facilities out there that either A. Leave the dogs caged the entire time or B. Leave 20 dogs loose without any care for inevitable fights or injuries. B. Happened to our pup at what was supposed to be the best boarding facility in our area. Our dog came home bleeding and scratched to hell which they then tried to say she arrived like that. They were just forced to close after they had two dogs die and a Third go missing in their care.

17 days or boarding is AT LEAST $500. Also what about Beaufort did she have him put down so they didn’t have to deal with him while they were gone?

What’s everyone reading now? I just started A House With Good Bones by T. kingfisher. I’m about 40 pages in and not sure how to feel yet. It’s very wordy with a lot of unnecessary descriptions of bugs.

Anyone else have opinions on any of these?

The Perfect Nanny - I hated this book. I should have read some reviews first because it was not what I expected at all and the ending was just

The Night Olivia Fell - This book was just sad. I enjoyed it, but the whole thing was tragic.

As Long As We Both Shall Live - It's a page-turner, but some of the twists were odd.

The Inheritance Games - Absolutely loved it. I finished it in less than 24 hours. For a YA mystery-type book, I thought it was very good.

I'm about halfway into ACOTAR and so far I'm intrigued. I've never been much into the fae side of the fantasy genre until lately but I'm looking forward to the whole series.

I enjoyed the inheritance games but thought the series declined with each subsequent book which was disappointing. The final gambit (book 3) was readable but barely IMO.

I just finished the ACOTAR series and gave each book a 4 or 5 star. Fantasy is usually hit or miss for me so I was fully expecting to read the first book and have yet another reason not to trust booktube. I was shocked that I really loved it. Thinking of starting the throne of glass series soon

This is in no way bashing anyone with tattoos but what is the thrill with getting them. I know some can look beautiful as a work of art but over time and as a person ages or lose/gain weight those things change how they look and sometimes the once beautiful tattoo turns into an inked mess...so please help me understand what the thrill is behind it.

I’m pretty heavily tattooed. Personally I feel more like me with tattoos. I think people either get that or they don’t. MOST of my tattoos tell a story a few are just fun but most of them have deep meaning to them. My best friend died of cancer when we were teenagers. My very first tattoo was a memorial piece for her on my shoulder. I’ve gained almost 100 pounds, lost 60 regained 50 and then lost another 25 all while tattooed and they all look mostly the same and are all still readable even the ones that are 15 years old. My personal feelings are so what if they look weird and wrinkly when I’m old because they are still me.

I also think there are different types of tattooed people. Those who get tattoos because they think it makes them look cool and edgy (lemon). Those who just want to represent a moment in their life in a permanent way and may have a few but aren’t really into the culture of it. And those of us that tattoos become part of our identities and take picking out artists and concepts behind pieces seriously.
Then there’s the people that don’t get it at all and that’s cool too. Theres room for all of us.

Why are her tattoos so random?

Not only random but also just not well done. Also doesn’t look like it will read well in 5 years. We know lemon doesn’t believe in taking care of her skin and fine line tattoos need to be babied long after they heal in order to still be readable as they age.

I wonder if Jill has sleep apnea and that’s why she’s so tired all the time. My husband was like that before he got his CPAP. Unfortunately his won’t be cured with weight loss since it’s structural but it’s easily managed and he’s rarely as tired for “no” reason anymore.

She’s probably just busy rehoming the sick cats and buying the kids 4 more each to make up for it
