If Bryce likes video games so much use that to get his work done. Lemon could tell him no video games until all his work is finished neatly and correctly AND after he has read for a set amount of minutes. My son had developmental delays when he was younger and could barely hold a pencil or cut paper when he was in kindergarten. Now he is a junior in high school in honors classes and on the high honor roll. So Lemon has no excuse to let Bryce barely scrape by just because he doesn't like to read or write. I freely admit I have used bribery with my son when he was younger. Not so much with school work because that was not really an issue with him. But things like you can play video games after all your chores are done or earning extra screen time by doing something extra for me.

My son is on the spectrum and the same age as Bryce. There was A LOT he struggled with the first year or two of school but we worked with him, we got him services he needed and we set boundaries. We set timers so he had to work on a task he didn’t like for x minutes and then he could do one he liked for x minutes. He’s starting middle school this year. Hasnt had services the last two years and scored in the top 2% in the state on his state tests. He got picked for advanced math and robotics for the upcoming school year. It’s not always easy but we hold firm with boundaries while also being open when he communicates that he’s getting burnt out or frustrated and might need some extra help or a slight break.
I am so incredibly proud of the human he chooses to be every single day. Not just his academics which are stellar but by who he is and how he treats people.
I’d be embarrassed to be lemon showing up to school functions for the kids.

Didn’t she just say le creuset was way to expensive but has no problem dropping $1100 at Sam’s Club $90 of that being a tube that they use maybe twice a year and already have. I just find that hysterical.

It’s probably an unpopular opinion but I think pearl is probably a bully. At the very least to rose. That could also be why Vanessa babies rose to make up for it. One thing is abundantly clear. The children run that house.

How many pets do they have now? Last time I knew, it was the dogs, Polly and Bryce's cat.

The older dog (I can never remember which one passed) never gets spa days, walks, baths or vet visits even though their “Ill” Oliver who gets monthly “spa days”
Polly- also never goes to the vet older cat
Stitch- baby birds cat currently having expensive sounding health problems
    Bryce’s cat
    Pearls cat
    Pearls bearded dragon or gecko

The last 3 were all adopted within a week because god forbid one kid get something that the others don’t. The adoption was also less than a month before the 3 girls went on their month long lame ass road-trip because who doesn’t adopt a pet that needs attention and care before leaving for weeks on end

So excessive. Any excuse to spend money. Couldn't just buy some donuts and be done with it?!

Is she implying the other kids are spending the night? On their first day of school? After not even getting started until after 10am?
There is no way those kids are going to be meeting minimal educational requirements

    Hello, New here ...
These are a few of my favorites.
    I love YA dystopian.
I love witchy/ vampires and super interesting family saga reads. I like controversy, I'm not into romance.
    I loved Divergent.
    Similar to that
    Is The Testing trilogy.
    Joelle Charbonneau.
The House I grew up in
Lisa Jewel.. a family saga of life love betrayal illness acceptance.
The fact of a body this is a roller coaster ride an amazing saga. A story about a murder and a memoir. by Alexandria marzonio lesnovich (so)
    The forgotten Garden
    Kate Morton.
    Sycamore Row
    John Grisham
The last of the moon girls
    Barbara Davis
    The Bone Garden
    Tess Gerritsen
    The Butterfly Garden.
Dark, atmospheric, ethereal, broken yet weirdly beautiful ( triggers)
    This one is CRAZY FUN.
( I might be sort of weird to have loved it 😂)
The Southern Book Club to Slaying Vampires.
Entertaining, strange, hilarious yet gory and gross.
    Steel magnolias meet dracula.
    Odd , but I ain't mad 🤣

    More to come. ✌️

We have very similar taste. Loved the testing trilogy and divergent. Currently reading fourth wing.
All Grady Hendrix books (minus my best friends exorcism) have been fantastic.

    Some suggestions for you
The only one left by Riley sager. Gothic thriller where a care taker communicates with her paralyzed, mute patient about a Lizzie Borden style killing. The twists were top tier.

The red queen saga by Victoria aveyard
4 books entertaining but not spectacular YA dystopian fantasy with a side of romance

The splintered series by A.G Howard. Interesting YA retelling of Alice in wonderland

    Bunny by Mona awad.
No clue what I read but I had the best time reading it. Graduate student gets mixed up in a cult like group of girls called the bunnies.

    Killing me by Michelle Gagnon
After being saved from a serial killer main character fleas her life and gets mixed up with more serial killer madness teaming up with a prostitute and hotel manager that’s obsessed with noir in Vegas. It was just a really fun wild time.

letting your 9 year old watch unlimited horror movies is disgusting.that is definitely NOT a hobby that i would support nor keep buying things for !!! Put her in an activity if she has nothing else to do all day but watch people getting murdered!!!!What is WRONG with these parents????? And i use the word parents very lightly. Because i don’t see much of any parenting going on in this house.

Vanessa thinks that’s a cute hobby????

I’ve loved horror movies since I was the twins age. Stephen king movies were comforting to me and still my go to sick day viewing.
HOWEVER as an adult I do see a problem with how much sex and nudity I was exposed to in the genre. I highly doubt lazy nessa and checked out Timmy are screening the horror content she is consuming or having hard conversations about what is appropriate to replicate from a movie and what is not.
Also I’d love to know if she really loves horror movies or if she’s just into ghost face which is hot all over social media right now.

My teens listen to cassettes and vinyl

Why buy a cd when you can just listen to it streaming?

I love the way old vinyl sounds but honestly new players and records don’t play the same.
I agree though I personally don’t spend money on albums. We pay for Spotify premium family. 14.99 a month and I get all the music and podcasts I want. I hit 2000 listen hours last year.

How much money do you think she dropped on amazon today??? I'm proud to say I didn't even go on the site today. I love saving money.

AT LEAST 7-800. I don’t even have an Amazon account. I may make a purchase from there twice a year if it’s an item I really can’t find anywhere else

I still can’t wrap my head around their homeschooling decision. It’s clear watching the unboxing video that it is the worst option for all three of their children. I just feel so bad for them.

Are they ever with friends anymore? Are they ever away from each other? Instead of buying more and more junk, get them involved with other kids - camp, sports, Lego club, horseback riding, art classes, whatever.

I looked out of curiosity. UTSA offers a kids art summer camp. $185 a week 9-12 Monday-Friday. They offer scholarships also. The girls would love that and it sounds super fun with a theme each week including things like embroidery, ceramics, and a week of comic characters.

Exactly - we all need protein but I rarely grab an easy option as protein shakes - they are in our garage fridge for my husband to grab quickly before he heads off to work .
Of course I can afford and drink as many as I want but it would kill me to “ waste “ so much money on them for me , when I can easily look up recipes and make myself so many “ easy “ snacks and lunches that contain lots of protein . 🙄
Jesus why does blowing so much money not phase Lemon at all ??

We just buy protein powder in a container. It’s cheaper than premade shakes and taste better.

Why did I just spend 15 minutes watching someone walk through Ikea, good thing I had some cross stitching to do at the same time..

This is hysterical because that’s exactly what I was doing while watching this garbage this morning

I do at least 2 if not 3 loads of laundry a day. It’s hot and sweaty here AND people in my home actually exercise almost daily. My husband wears a GI to do Jiu Jitsu it’s too heavy and gross to wash with other things
We also run the dishwasher daily but we cook which lemon doesn’t really do,

We’re a family of 3 and I also do 2-3 loads most days. We’re all really active so between gym clothes, regular clothes, pjs, towels, and bedding there’s always laundry to do. we only use reusable cleaning cloths plus mop pads so those get washed every week. Plus I wash our bedding every week including the throw blankets on the couch since we have pets.
I also run the dishwasher most days. Pots and pans get hand washed but 3 meals a day at home using nothing disposable adds up. Sometimes it’s every other day but probably on average 5 loads a week.

Has anyone checked the obituaries to make sure something didn’t happen to pat?
