I love the idea of a clawfoot bathtub - one of my grandparents growing up had on in their one and only bathroom. But it seems a bit treacherous to get into lol...I stayed at at the Red Lion Inn in Strockbridge, MA and the bathroom had a clawfoot bathtub and it was a bit difficult on my mother and even me to get into lol.
I realize you're not talking about the age group I'm aiming at below but it reminded me.
If I'm living alone at whatever age I can barely walk, I'll crawl into the tub, leave the phone within reach, and tell Suri/Alexa/Whoever it is by that time to call 911 if I need help.
Same with stairs. Crawl up and down if I need to.No nursing home. |

I'd actually get clinically depressed without a bathtub. I've been taking baths since childhood. Showers more in the summer especially after the beach. If I were her I'd save up enough money so she could have it professionally done. Gut it down to the studs. Level the floor, new fixtures, new tile. On the other hand, with Willie out of the house in a few years, why not put all the bathroom remodel into the second floor bath where Sopia and Scott can move after both boys have moved out?
The attic bedroom and bath for Sophia's hobbies and a room for the boys to stay when they visit overnight. Save up again to gut the attic bath and replace with just a shower and sink. These two changes would immensely increase the value and livability of the house.
Someday? Do add an addition to push out the kitchen. Eliminate the deck. Have a built-in pantry but someplace other than where the windows are now. Never decrease the windows. Change the kitchen's footprint.
It is all feasible if she stops spending on herself and googaws for the house. Buy to resell but not to keep.

| | I haven't watched her videos for a while but I decided to watch the garage cleanout one. Those leggings she has on are so unflattering. I have some from Target that make me look better not worse. She should find some that don't make her legs look like link sausages. She doesn't have problem legs else I wouldn't comment. Target's All in Motion leggings are from $18 (if you catch a sale) to at most $29. But she's cheap when it comes to buying clothes so she may think that's too much. She'd rather have tons of cheap clothes than a few nice ones. And Target isn't that fancy. |

Took a 45-second look by drilling through (sorry, no pun intended) to the original post and it seems highly political. I only read about four comments and they are ragging hard on Democrats. Maybe the video on the phone is someone they don't like? Super insulting. Maybe by the time anyone reads this it will be different but the comments are going IN. Yuck.

Sophia sucks. I watched a few seconds of her latest Moisennite (whatever, I don't care how it's spelled) and she is so over-the-top giddy. The snake oil is thick. But she sucks because of the political nature of the underlying post to the sewing machine phone thing. |

I actually have a good impression of the IRS. Weird, huh? When I was young I had a tax thing and when I called they were super helpful and walked me through how to straighten it out. It involved a couple of years and amending one year's return. I was scared but when I called the guy I talked to was so nice and alleviated all my fears.
As far as Sophia, yes, I would be very careful and do lots of research before doing business taxes. Hopefully, she's making quarterly payments. Some of those influencers who get big tax bills are probably getting more than "no-brand" stuff. Sophia may do everything right and stay on the right side of tax law but I would bet she is definitely writing that little room she processes stuff in off. |

I didn't think of her as "loving to hustle" necessarily. Maybe. She just seems to be in a cycle. It might give her more satisfaction than her 9 to 5, which I've always felt she resented. At least after the era when she built those bookcases in the home office when she was laid off from her higher-titled and better-paying job.
