She wan't going to pass up that meal ticket. She married him and worried about the rest later. Not to mention, she is a narcissist. They feel they can manipulate anyone to do anything for them. She probably thought she would show him such a good time being with her, he would eventually see she was enough and forget about the kids thing. All the while taking BC to make sure she didn't get pregnant, unbeknownst to him. That bitch is cruel.
I can well imagine the rage he felt finding out he had been taken for a ride all these years by the woman he had been so devoted to. There he was, month after month, year after year, desperately hoping they'd get pregnant while she was plotting to ensure they didn't. Unforgivable.

Same here. Her behavior wasn't one of the one who walked away. Life hit her hard when he bounced. Her narcissism didn't allow her to see it coming. She thought he would always take whatever she dished out. Suddenly he is packing bags. She didn't know what to do, as she has never been alone her entire adult life. No friends to lean on. No coping skills. Left to take care of two kids she didn't want. Then he upped the stakes by telling her to get to packing because they were selling. That is probably when it hit home that EVERYTHING was about to change. No more Utah. No more lavish gifts or trips. No family trips to Disney. No more bragging rights. No nothing.
She couldn't hide her despondency. Hair fell out even more. Dark circles around eyes. Skin dried up. No more makeup. No wearing nice clothes. Couldn't even comb her daughter's hair. Or play with her children. Just shear desperation over what she was about to lose.
That was always my take. |

I agree. That is what I would expect a $1.5 million house to look like. I always thought the first floor of Hag's house is small. Reminds me of a Townhouse. Walk in and straight back. All rooms are linear. Nothing stately about her living room/ dining room combo. Not my cup of tea. But someone will buy it. But I think it won't sell for higher than $1.2 million -- and I think that is still very overpriced for what you are getting.
What buyer who has $1.5 million to spend would look at that other listing and then Hag's house and say "I want hers"? Hubby might like to be on the golf course but Wifey will say "Hell no!" when she sees what $1.5 could really get her. |

| Personally, when I look at Hag's house I do not see something that is "outdated". I see wall color choices that I loathe and bath floor tile that looks like yuck. But that beige tile wouldn't have been my choice now or 20 years ago. So dated isn't the issue for me. It's their taste that I call into question. Frankly, I don't see anything that screams avocado color appliances from the 70s. (My Dad's kitchen still has an avocado green double oven)
Maybe I don't have the right eye, but her bathrooms don't look bad to me (except the floor tile). I see nothing wrong with the counters/cabinets. And I certainly wouldn't be spending money ripping them out to "update" them. Maybe I'd redo the floor but then I would have done that for myself years ago had I their money.
Having said all of that, it's their over million dollar price point that calls their interior design choices into question. Their bathrooms absolutely do not say, "Look at me, aren't I special?". They are the same bathrooms you'd find in a run-of-the-mill, cookie-cutter, $300K subdivision house.

Yes, Jen is moving. I was speaking more in reference to the Insider and whether he/she is a believable source in general. They were saying some behind the scenes info about the house that seemed believable. We all seemed to accept the 3rd as truth, which why we have been looking out for the listing today. And I am saying unless the house hits the market within a couple of days, I won't put much stock in anything they divulge in the future.

I think it depends on what the house looks like. If it is brag worthy, or Jen thinks it is, she won't be able to resist showing it off. From this point forwards, she will have very little to shove in our faces. I think we have well-established that we find her taste in clothes and bags fairly cringe-worthy. No more trips. No more rich husband. What else does she have but a house?
