| | From a not-super-experienced marathoner with a pace similar to Jen’s: I would run 5 days a week but only one long run. Building to a peak long run of about 20 miles 2-3 weeks before the event and then tapering off to rest up for the race itself. The other days she’s running she could do a day or two of tempo/speed work but should also be doing some really short/easy runs so she doesn’t hurt herself. |

That’s what is so laughable, she thinks she’s a content creator on par with others in the field and she talks big about how she ‘successfully pivoted her business’ and how she’s a creative and all that nonsense. In reality, she’s nothing more than an unoriginal dirty middle aged woman with a camera. I think Allison is married but has she said anything about their plans re: kids? Jenny’s limited by obligations to get home to her kids (read: avoiding parenting by going on Disney Cruises).
I don’t think she’s addressed it directly. They recently bought a massive house in Texas but sort of alluded to not needing to use the nursery it came with as a nursery anytime soon.
It’s true that Jen would have had a time constraint to get back home, but that’s even more reason to have planned her trip out a bit and been ready to hit the ground running when she got there. |
