There were a bunch if people working at PDQ when Don was semi retired.

Working, or "working" - as in, given management titles but not actually doing anything or on payroll?

A lot of companies do that to look sharp. Have an all-star team but they're not actually working at the company but still given a title, not much commitment beyond a few conference calls a week.

From what I can tell, they've always had the company. It's always done mostly the same thing but under different names, DBAs, etc. It also looks like they've always been registered with FINRA. I can't tell on the broker/dealer stuff. That's very expensive to get if you're not actively using it.

I think what MAY have happened is that Don was working for that North Carolina company and just wasn't what he wanted (remember - he was working for his cousin's husband. I work in the industry and TBH, they claim they don't treat family better but that's a lie. He was probably a good worker and good at his job, but had certain benefits that other analysts didn't have because they weren't family/their dad wasn't on the board and a Managing Director)

Don realizes that it sucks to work for someone who isn't your cousin, so he decides to re-commit to his dad's company and wants to really build it into a legitimate company, compared to Poopsie who treated it as a hobby and side project/connection to Raven. Don is made CEO, and then built it into something that generates revenue + hires people...kind of a startup but not.

Just a theory. Possibly fanfiction at this point. I think that Jen was "normal" and on board at that point.

so i guess jen got the soup pot as part of the divorce settlement?!? HOW is Don going to cook his 12 batches of chicken noodle soup now that JENNIFER HAS THE SOUP POT?!

I am not Jen-fending at ALL, but we bitch about how she does nothing, has no skills whatsoever, and now she's getting certified for Werq (or some type of certification???) I can respect that she's doing something other than 2 hours of yoga and spending all Don's money. Good for her, doing something with her life and time.

Though I gotta say.....if JEN is teaching the class, I'll be there with my popcorn just watching the trainwreck ;)

I think that Don's sister Emily has totally cut her out, and isn't really interested in Jen's bullshit anymore.

I can respect it. Jen yanked Don around for years with her nonsense, and then went off the rails and now Jen thinks she's still gonna be involved in the family?

    HA.

Does anybody still think that Jen is doing the minimum upkeep on the channels to show that her income is low, and then once the divorce is finalized she can ramp up?

    No.

I think like everything else in her life, she's "playing" at it until it actually makes a demand on her, at which point she stops and plays victim for a while.

True, and also...the divorce stuff will probably go off their 2019 tax returns and income information. I wonder if she has any ownership in Don's family's company. Or will get some of his shares as part of the alimony. They'll never release a cap table, though so we can just wonder. They report the minimum as required by the SEC (understandably)

I'd love to see a Jen Reads Mean Tweets (Forum Posts) and reacts. I always liked when celebrities did those.

The divorce specialist lady follows her back, too. And Jen likes A LOT of the posts. I might be looking into it too much tho. I don't know for sure.

I think I found Jen's life coach or counselor or whatever the f*ck - if you search themichelledempsey on IG, I think that's her. She is a life coach in the divorce/breakup scene and Jen likes a lot of her pics. That's really the only life coach Jen follows.

So, basically it's an in-season trend and it can definitely work.
But because of Tik Tok, let's say that you are forced to edit it and as a consequence, it becomes more creative and fun to watch (it's short!)

She should film it in a way that becomes appealing. Even the most boring, common things can become fresh and interesting if you take a new twist on it. I understand it is difficult to find new ways of proposing trite stuff.
There are so many you tubers who do that, I like Japanese you tubers who do ASMR cooking videos, with very closed close ups, they are visually so captivating, I love them.

I doubt Jen will ever do something similar, after all she lacks super up to date equipment. She should sell some other chipped stuff.

I predict it'll sound something like her riveting tutorial on reindeer clothespin. Pedantic and unnecessarily detailed for what it is.

I can see Martha Stewart choking on her craft supplies while watching that.

I didn't even watch the kitchen organization video. Doesn't Jen realize that the times have changed....10 years ago, people weren't posting organization videos other than Do it On a Dime and Alejandra. But now, everyone and their mother posts videos on how to organize cabinets. It's just outdated and boring content. I don't like this 'back to basics' vibe at all. Although if she went back to vlogging, I'd definitely tune in for that.

A vapid leech who literally does fuck all every day, who finds it totally acceptable to keep her kids’ dishes in the same cabinet as her trash can, in her paid-in-cash million dollar empty home that she didn’t work for, who listens to one podcast, telling me how this year is stressful for everyone “regardless of their situation “ and telling me to “make informed choices” and “be responsible,” while wearing an overpriced t-shirt with words that are impossible to read (which doesn’t matter because she’s not going to see another human today anyway) and a gray cardigan with a sourpuss in the mirror and telling me that her outfit is a mood, and selling backpacks that she doesn’t know if she used, is peak 2020.

    RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m definitely a doubter about a large trust fund. Always have been.

OK I do believe that Jen's family has money. I don't know about how much, but definitely enough. She probably has $300k of her own money I'd bet, and then whatever her and Don split. She easily has a net worth of $1.5 - 2million.

When Jen lived in Pittsburgh, she lived in a super nice neighborhood called Mt Lebanon. It's mostly wealthy people, but the houses aren't THAT nice. (Well most of them. You're pretty much buying to say you live in Mt Lebanon, and the school district is pretty good. Plus you're not 45+ mins outside of downtown) Anyway, I found out the exact street that Jen's family lived on in the 90s. It's a pocket of super nice homes that go for over $1Million. Keep in mind, the cost of living in Pittsburgh is somewhat low, especially compared to NY and Chicago. The homes on the street are all stone, and very 'old money'. Most families who live on the street are both doctors, both corporate attorneys, etc.

So I do believe that if Jen's fam could live on this street and Jill didn't really have to work, just chauffeur Jen to different ballet practices, etc. they have money. I don't think they have ROSS money, but they've got some wealth.

That's my 2c. I do live in Pittsburgh area.

That pic she just put on IG stories holding Donny....does anybody get Patrick Bateman from American Psycho vibes?? Total emptiness, just a shell of a person. No true identity.
