It’s funny how she used to put-down women for wearing pajamas or leggings in public; in some of her recent Instagram posts her outfits look like pajamas. Particularly the silk “joggers” outfit.

Today’s video on “time travel” in artwork is off the rails.

I thought the same thing when I saw that drab gray swimsuit. Yuck.

She only likes that coverup because it makes her look skeletal. If I were her I would stop wearing anything by mer-sea. All the pieces by them are unflattering on her and look cheap (though they are quite pricey!).

Yes. To all of what you ladies are saying.
My grandmothers and mother, heck all the women in my life always made an effort when going out. But at home? They dressed for the task. And these were the hardest working ladies I ever have known.

Here’s the thing that gets me. Jennifer pays someone to houseclean, she pays “gardeners” as she calls them, she tells us she pays a local chef for dinner trays, she pays for private tutors for the homeschool kiddos, and it seems like they do some of their schooling outside the home at a “campus” as she has said. Nothing wrong with any of that. But PLEASE Jennifer acknowledge that you are not scrubbing toilets or pulling weeds in a $400 silk sundress in full makeup and hair. She isn’t giving the world an accurate representation of what her life is like, she is showing how it could be for the rest of us if only we had all her resources. Including the sponsored wardrobe!

I’m guessing it’s the kickbacks from affiliate links that makes a commonplace book “miraculous”

Maybe that’s what is paying for the $250+ neiwai workout outfit (leggings+sweater+top) she has been rebounding and doing her yoga in.

    Nothing but the best!

I guess the “commonplace book” is her new niche! She’s going to beat that horse for as long as she can now.

It’s a scrapbook. My grandma kept one. Magazine clippings, recipes, random musings and limericks.

Call it what you want I guess.

I'm tired of all these lazy YouTubers only making videos around the free crap they receive from various companies. It doesn't seem like anyone has an authentic channel anymore sharing ideas.

This is so true. I remember leaving Facebook for Instagram when it became all ads and games, then Instagram for YouTube when it became nothing but “influencers”. It is true that advertisers take over and ruin everything. There were so many good fashion bloggers 5+ years ago who explored personal style but now they just sell fast fashion.

On one hand, I guess I can’t blame someone for taking a sponsorship to make some money, but on the other, if you are preaching quality and personal style be sure your sponsors fit those values.

Yep… I’m really struggling to find anything chic in that “look”!! What really gets me are the comments of her followers - do they really like that look? Do they have really bad eyesight??

My guess is she has to feature these pieces so often on her Instagram to keep her sponsorships.

Her latest video is just a mish-mash of sponsored stuff under the guise of “chic living”. Yawn.

That was no small chafing dish… it’s HUGE. I wonder if it’s for church suppers - but I’ve still never seen one at a church dinner! They must do it differently in southern CA

WIEIAD content is boring, but easy for her to film. She doesn’t have to do much but whip out her camera before she eats. Personally I just don’t care what she eats and I’m not really sure why others do. She’s not an expert in anything, she’s an average cook at best, and she’s not an elite athlete or dietician. The interest in what she eats is beyond my comprehension.

I think she called the new dress her “Miss Marple” dress and yes it does fit, it’s not terrible, the print is meh. I think it’s suitable for the trad wife thing she has going on.

I don’t really know why I bother with her channel ever. She’s so dull anymore.

I agree about the jeans. They either need to graze her sneakers or hit just above the ankle bone. I think they don’t look quite right with the silk tops. The fit is casual, comfortable by shape and wash. Those jeans would look better with a cool sweatshirt or t shirt IMO. Imagine how much more “chic” she would look if she pairs those jeans with a fun graphic tee and better sneakers? Maybe some minimalist jewelry too, like a small hoop earring.

The silk tops would look more flattering with a cropped straight/cigarette leg jean in dark wash or black. Something a bit more chic than the everlane jeans. It wouldn’t kill her to have more than one pair of jeans in her wardrobe. Denim can be elegant also.

I do not believe she wears those bowler shoes in public. She has to be peddling them for a sponsorship.

There are soooo many cute and chic sneakers out there to choose from… not those Jennifer!

I noticed some interesting comments in the video….

    Talk about “bored housewife”

She was pretty vague. Could be trouble with one of her kids. Could be she or someone has just gotten a diagnosis. Could be a betrayal other than infidelity… money problems? Who knows. I do feel for her. She is always really measured and today she was more emotional than I’ve ever seen.
