I think on some higher level (without really understanding it) Andrea knew. Look at how much time she spent with those kids, and how present she was when she was with them. To me, it seemed like she gave them as much as herself as she could... almost like she knew that she wouldn´t be around for them for long. But knowing what we know now, it can only be speculation.
This is the expression on Eden´s face that I was talking about. It seems like Eden still does what Tom tells her to do, but she gives the bare minimum, nothing more:

The video title "Does it REALLY Save Money to Buy Store Brands?" does not make any sense if you don´t buy half of the stuff on the shopping list, because you forgot to check the stock at home. Doh.
He could have seen it coming that "She´s ssssso cute" would ask every few minutes when they are leaving.
I think it is no wonder that the kids don´t know themselves well or do not feel free to be themselves, as their father critiques them and complains about the work and expenses they cause so often. And that is just what he lets us see. Can y´all imagine what these poor kids have to listen to off camera?
Also: with all the whining, lack of basic manners, and speech issues going on in that family, I would love to see how others react when the Mills Family shows up.
I'd have had to call a halt while I went over the 'we don't whine and we say Please and Thank You and we wait politely for our turn' speech.
While the family was in the sports hall Halloween event I didn't see one of the Mills kids say Thank you when they received a sweety. Not once.
I absolutely agree. If you cannot teach your kids the basic manners, then maybe you should not have so many. They never use napkins at the dinner table. All of them speak over each other. The little ones are never being stopped when blurting out things non-stop, not even during Andrea´s time.
And so I think that the kids are better off not having Tom as a sole role model, but being in the public school system, where they see, experience, and have to get along with a variety of other personalities outside of their own family. One can tell that with Tom whining so much that the kids are already emulating it. They won´t make it anywhere in life with that self-entitled and whiney attitude. I think at this point, the "public school life" would help them more than it would harm them.
I do have a suspicion that he will start sending the kids to school one by one. I think Eden might be mentioning school because she most likely realized that if she doesn't go, she has to play mommy all day and that's honestly not fair to her or to the other kids.
I sure hope so. Tom keeps mentioning that Andrea was the one wanting such a large family, not him. And looking at how often he sighs and whines in his videos, I think that he is pretty much done. And watching old videos, they had problems raising their children right, even with Andrea around. For example: she would do the "little club" with Claudia and Sophia, teaching them when to say "please", "thank you", and "you´re welcome". And in subsequent videos, Andrea never said "please" when she asked kids to help. For example: she said to Judah "won´t you help me open this". You can teach your kids all you want, but they will emulate what they actually see and hear you doing.
Eden is done with Tom, too. In the latest video (when forced to show her "costume"), she had pure hatred in her eyes.

What boggles my mind increasingly is: Tom claims to be versed in IT, and yet his live streams are all choppy. Week after week, month after month... for years now. I wonder if he cannot figure it out, or if he simply does not care. If he put as much time into fixing the poor live stream quality as he does in asking for likes and thumbs up for this choppy-a$$ videos, the viewers would be much better off.
I hope Claudia doesn't go looking for attention in the wrong places when she becomes older.
Me, too, but it is bound to happen. She is at such a fragile age, and Tom is messing it up. Maybe people who decide to have this many kids should be made aware of the responsibility they have... not just materially.
Even if he had everyone scoot down one seat so Claudia was by him. He should watch that. He should see the pain his kids are enduring. All this time he's said they were fine. They haven't been fine. He should look at them then and see what he put them through. That little girl who just lost her mom - telling her she's prickly and needed to clock in more. That boy holding Hannah. That boy had to grow up fast and raise his family. He should see.
Maybe he is still not able to watch those "old" videos? I noticed a dramatic change in Eden, too. At the family dinners, she would sit there watching and listening to her parents. She was often smiling during those times. Not anymore.
I am also getting a feeling that Tom often lies on camera to make himself look better, and the kids know the truth and can't say anything. That has got to be emotionally devastating.
Most concerning to me was that Claudia, jus turned 4 years old, at the funeral ,had no adult or older sibling, to comfort her.Just because she comes across feisty at times, doesn't diminish the pain she would have also felt ,along with her family, when her mother was laid to rest.We can choose to see only the negative traits of a child seen as a problem, but there is so much more to Claudia that will come to light as she matures.
Please don't misunderstand me. It is easy to be judgmental, and one does better to be kind. But Claudia is so very audible, and so different from the other kids. That is why she stuck out to me. Eden is a whiner, too. I have never heard Eden speak in a normal (and not whining) tone of voice either. But Eden barely says anything. Claudia is sticking out, because she is so much right around Tom, just whining into the microphone. She is so persistant in it. Even during joyful events (let's say opening Christmas presents) Claudia is generally looking grumpy, pointing out negative things, being jealous of the other's gifts, wanting her turn, not paying attention when it's the others' turn.... just so different from all the other kids.
I remember one of the first April videos in the van, Claudia asked if she could sit in Aprils lap. Sad, sad, sad.
I remember that. Isn't he on girlfriend number 3 now since Andrea has passed? 🙄 I do not understand why Tom thinks it's ok to expose his kids to all these women.

I wonder why the other kids are just standing by witnessing this without doing anything. It never fails: throughout every single video you hear her whining voice. Makes one wonder at what age she will give up.
The saddest thing I ever saw was 4 year old Claudia sitting by herself at her mothers funeral. Heartbreaking. That child has had little to no nurturing.
I am shocked to see that Tom did not edit the burial video: At 6:21 into the video Claudia is sitting there with legs spread wide open, in a dress, with her underwear showing. No shorts underneath. I get that Tom was pre-occupied that day, but he could have cut that part out in post-edit. 🙄
