I think the "visitors" told her to take down potentially harmful videos.
After all, she is an influencer, albeit a very stupid one, there will be people that will follow her lead.
Not a problem when those followers were to get really sick from food poisening by incorrect canning videos, but not okay when they kill their babies by doing what Shrecky does.

They wouldn't do that. If she took them down it was to protect her own ass.

I see the topic has changed on this thread. I haven't seen the latest video--shopping....again??

Anyway, here's one of my mini-projects of the day. Hope it brings a chuckle to everyone.

I cant believe it took her so long after the visit to delete them! They were probably like "hey we're still getting calls about you being a bad mom cause its all over the internet." She should have had common sense to at least edit out the bad parts but noooo becky thinks shes right about everything always. No shame

I have lost the chronology here.
Is she already making videos after the "visit"?
Or are all these productions made pre-visit and are her instagram postings up to date and in real time?

instagram is always real time…..not unless she happens to post something thats old. but 99% of the time its sameday

she mixes up a lot on her videos but if you follow her stories you can tell whats old and new. her giveaway is usually the nail polish…..😉

My entire point is that there are tons of other posts, stats etc on this forum….not one peep…..

and still….the “Forum Fans” have not said one thing about the people that have recently brought my channel up without me saying one word!!! Why not tell them “it’s getting old” and tell them to stop bringing the channel up???

you noticed I haven’t responded to any posts that say anything about suggestions for my channel! If I wanted “attention and a pat on the back” wouldn’t I keep the posts going by responding to them??!!

But you are quick to jump without a parachute!

You were just waiting to say something directly to me….you got my attention and you haven’t made a point!!!

Look man, just by a rough count of the first page of your posts you have FIFTEEN posts just in the last day and THIRTEEN of those are about yourself, your channel, or how much Becky won’t like what your channel is about to post. I hope you can see why that would be annoying to your fellow bakers, even if we like your channel and support what you’re doing.

    PLEASE STOP

So to compensate for my outburst earlier, I need to show you all I'm not completely unhinged.

I needed to restock my loaves of bread and dinner rolls. I use a sourdough starter I began back in December....that is working out great for me. I didn't use a kit or anything, just developed it from flour, water, and air.

OMG! I posted way too early. She wasted 30 pounds of onions? WHY? Why all the shortcuts that take more time and energy, and why does she dive into things headfirst?

Becky, this isn’t a case of “you win some, you lose some.” That would be you trying a new recipe in a reasonable quantity and seeing if you like the outcome. This is a case of “I have no brains, sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't, but I always have grace!”

The title of the video shouldn’t have been “massive food preparation” but rather “massive food waste with me!”

I think you are posting in the wrong thread?

Oh my, thank you. I’m talking about Becky from Acre Homestead and I’m not even familiar with Half Acre homestead so I didn’t even give it a second thought. My apologies!!

I always wonder why these people feel the need to share their whole life with the world.
There are a lot of crazy people out there.
One of the comments on a video was "I would love to come and visit your beautiful house and see your garden"
    How creepy is that?

I can think of a few homesteaders who I'd love to visit and hang out with in the garden for a few hours (not in a creepy way), but Faker Homestead is nowhere near the top of the list.

I could see myself hanging out with Homestead Heart and doing some canning, working in the garden with Living Traditions, or going ice fishing with Simple Living Alaska! 😆

Same! Not in a creepy way, but in a way that some of them, I like how they think, I like how they talk and would love to share a meal!

I really don't understand her starting pepper seeds.
I am relatively new to gardening, but what she is doing can't be right.
    I live in zone 8b.
Now I have no idea if my zone 8b would have the same criteria as a zone 8b in America.
Our last frost date is april 30, that is the official date.
We do have something here however, that is called the Ice Saints Day.
And everybody knows you should never plant before the Ice Saints Days, which are midst of May.
I looked at the instructions for planting my King of the North peppers and it says not to plant those outside until the end of May.
That is almost 3 full months from now!
I'm not starting my seeds before the end of this month.

How can she not know this?
    Wait.. don't answer that. lol
    She is such a fraud.
Rich kid with a large house playing "homesteading".

Do they really have four vehicles?
Josh has a car, she probably has her own car, and then there is a tractor and that ridiculous Polaris.
Yes, let's talk about all things "organic"...
    Fraud!

I understand now that Ice Saints Days are not known in America.
    Here's some info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_Saints

Well, your zone doesn't have much to do with your last frost date, you have to consider your last frost date and not your zone when planning these things.

I'm in a zone 2b, our last frost date is around June 10th, and my peppers are started. People start them in February here to give us 12-13 weeks, even if the recommendation is 8 to 10, because our season is just so short that we want this heads up a little bit to be able to produce at least a little bit of pepper. Onions and celery are started too. It all depends on many, many factors in the end.

It is really fascinating this whole zone thing! I knew about it but really did not look further in to it until Vicky mentioned it and directed me to where I need then posted here as I love it!!! Do not give Becky credit for that...Change of Heart gets that credit. It is really neat we are all over the world but yet we share growing seasons. I would love for us to all share what we are facing in our gardens :D I appreciate this forum so much <3

That's cool about Ice Saints Day! I had never heard of it either.

Yes we have 3 Ice men who are actually 3 saints (May 12, 13,14) on May 15 is "St. Sophia". Usually it rains on this day, so in my country we call her "Wet/Pissing Sofy" 😁🤣

We don't have Ice Saints Day. But I am in 6A, on line to 6B, in NW Ohio.
I don't plant till the end of May, sometimes into June.
We have get Snow in May some years.

Also NW Ohio is known to have All 4 Seasons, within the same Day. Not to mention Tornados year Round, Earthquakes and yes even the Hurricanes manage to make their way up to us.(Ivan destroyed fields of Corn, that was ready for Harvest).

Some of us here, "Winter Sow" to start our Plants, in Milk Containers or something similar outside. So we get a head start. I do it, as well as Jessica at Three Rivers Homestead.

I also have grow lights, so I do some with them. DH is always wanting his Radishes.

Edit to Add: We are a Family of 3. We have 5 vehicles, a tractor and multiple lawn mowers.
DH & DS each have a work vehicle. My son has a Jeep and a Dodge Ram (which he is restoring). DH & I, have a SUV for our "Good" Vehicle. Son also has a Antique Tractor ( Completely Restored) and Antique lawn mowers (these he is restoring).
We live in Rural Area, so vehicles are a must.
