It never gets easier.
I'm going to leave Toby's beds in place until I get his ashes home to give his soul somewhere to sleep until he's finally back home.
Too bad there isn't a national register we could notify not to ever let Jen get a dog again.
What you are doing is beautiful and selfless.

My fanfic is that the storage unit is set up with the dolls and bears exactly as they once were, and that’s where she is when she’s not traveling/pelotoning/mothering. It would explain a lot. |

There were some blank columns on that board where they were burning their rounds, so some people didn’t show up - but if Jen has to pay double the Don dollars to make sure none of them are in her room, she wouldn’t hesitate. |

I did a couple of virtual races during lockdown. LOCKDOWN. When it was literally impossible to do in-person races. These were events planned as in-person before everything happened, that I had already signed up for. The race organizers did a brilliant job pivoting so that people could get some kind of joy out of their training and the money they had already spent.
Every single one of those races has gone back to their normal format, and everyone was so happy to have them back. The virtual option was great when we had no other way. But now? It’s completely ridiculous and just a way to enable Jen to stay in her own personal echo chamber. |
