Anyone watch her besides me? There's a thread on YTMD and I'm interested to see what everyone thinks.
Brittany and her husband Joe seem like nice enough people. Rolling in cash, or perhaps in debt. They just built their second McMansion-this one in Utah and their previous home in Colorado. The strangest part of their story is that after years of infertility Britt and Joe adopted..... her brothers baby. Her brother and his girlfriend-who each have children separately, but none together- got pregnant and gave the baby to Brittany and Joe to adopt.
Brittany seems a bit out of touch with everything. When starting BLW with Harper (their daughter) she gave her oatmeal with honey, a big no no before 12 months. And in today's vlog she mentioned she couldn't give Harper egg whites before she was a year old. Pretty sure she meant egg yolks. While some docs advise no egg yolks before a year most, including my doc, advise early exposure to the whole egg to help avoid/determine allergies.
Her home style is GORGEOUS. And girl loves to shop.
She seems sweet, but she's definitely in her own little world.. -

I was going to start a thread last night. You read my mind! I have been subscribed for some time but I rarely watch. I have been enjoying the recent vlogs as I'm a sucker for home decor...even if it's a brand new McMansion. I don't pay close enough attention. I had not put two and two together that the birth parents are family members. She always titled the videos as if they were strangers. I did find it odd how they kept in close contact. It all makes sense now...sort of.
What does Joe do for a living again? Family money? Has Britt ever worked? How did they go from NY to Colorado to Utah? I didn't even realize what their first names were as I seldom watch. From what I have seen, they're very religious and the goody two shoes type-- no booze. They're uber traditional and I'm guessing ultra conservative. They're nothing like me but I think that's what I find so interesting. It's almost comforting to peek inside their little bubble. I want to see Britt (?) become a bit more edgy. She has some cute party ideas and her home is put together very nicely.. -

Britt had one job at Wal-Mart and never went to college.

The birth mom and her brother appear to be pretty trashy.
I found her fb after I saw she was commenting on videos.
I believe they moved to give themselves some space to raise Harper.
I like watching her decorate too.
She's simple and sweet.

Wow. I thought she would be the daughter of an accountant and school teacher or something. She's like a Pinterest cliché for homemaking brought to life. How are they moving around into all of these houses? What does Joe do that permits such flexibility?
She is very charitable but there's something self-righteous about an ex Wal-Mart greeter with no education preaching about helping struggling families with their finances. She has never really earned her own money. I'd love to know more about the husband.. -

From what I have put together Joe does some sort of computer something or other. And I'm not sure why I wanna say for a hospital. Maybe. But it pays well. I tell my husband all the time to stop selling insurance in Mayberry and do what joe does! And whatever it is he is able to work almost entirely from home. So the basement is a tax write off cause it's a home office.
It seemed SO WEIRD to me how the adoption went down. I found Brittany when my husband and I were going through infertility and considering foster care/adoption. I've been watching since almost the beginning.
Their homes have been OUTRAGEOUSLY GORGEOUS and that's why I keep going back.
I wouldn't blame them if the reason for the move was some distance between them and Ben and Sarah -Harpers birth parents. Sarah made me so uncomfortable during the adoption q+a when she talked about having no connection to the pregnancy with Harper whatsoever. Harper is just a couple of months older than our daughter and it's interesting to see similarities and dissimilarities between them.. -

Also worthy to note that's a Brittany is not a healthy woman. She has Lupus as well as Rhumitoid Arthritis in addition to reproductive problems. She's had surgery in the past for uterine polyps. She has to have a monthly cocktail infusion for her lupus and RA. I think Sarah is a stripper.

And I'll say this.... if Sarah really did have such a disconnect to Harper it's a WONDERFUL THING that she gave her up and allowed her to be adopted by two people that really do adore her. . -

I just started watching after Flossy mentioned them. It's super saccharine religious undertone type stuff, but I am intrigued. I would love to know how they afford the lifestyle they have. I have no idea how much a new build in Utah costs, but I imagine it's not inexpensive. And all the new stuff for the new house. . -
