Very well could have just been a standing appointment she’s had for Winnie on that day (because of Utah in the past), but she never bothered to cancel or change it. Or maybe she kept it hoping they’d change their mind and invite her when she dropped off the cookie tins and whatever else.

Changing the subject a little here: do we know whatever became of the Ross Mickey tree? I became more and more angry with her throughout December seeing all the Mickey plates, Mickey mugs, Mickey sleep ware and whatever all else the kids (and she) have, but she didn’t want the kids to inherit “her” Mickey tree. It just boiled my blood.
And then there was the expensive hot cocoa she bought, in addition to her subscription service hot cocoa, but the kids drink Swiss Miss. Makes me want to boil her precious Boyles ass!

That's what I think, she has a standing appointment on the 24th, due to flying to Utah, and Winnie needed her shots anyway. i don't think that there is any way that Jen is in Utah.
I also don't think she had bunion surgery, because most elective surgeries are being postponed in Illinois, due to COVID.
I do think that Don and the kids are in Utah. I just do. I think that Jen is staying off, because she is PISSED that she doesn't get to go and she doesn't want any questions about if they are in Utah. She will ignore it, just like she ignored how they got home from Utah this summer.

I like the theory that she was hoping for a last-minute invitation and took Winnie to the vet just in case. Since the invitation never came, she’s sitting at home (or as previously mentioned, Ross Manor 1), eating her feelings and crying into her adult beverage of choice. She decided to  be gentle with herself and take a break from exercise.
She really didn’t think through her uncaging plan.

Rolling around in her old bed in RM1, sloshing dirty martinis all over the place. Talking to Winnie and an imaginary Don like she's still the lady of the manor. Probably pulled down the bins of AG dolls and set up all her "friends" on the floor
I wonder if RigidLikeJen will be back on Jan 1. It is a Friday, after all
