Yoga:

It’s no secret that yoga has been a big part of my fitness journey for years. The solace I feel while practicing is both restorative and therapeutic to my anxious heart. Yoga is always there for me, in good times and bad, in sickness and in health. And I know on the days that I crave internal peace, I can find it, if even for a few minutes, while practicing. (Insert a tag to yoga with Adrienne with a flowery thank you).

She was soooo in love with her looming wall of books in RM1 and has now left them all in shopping bags & her bookshelves incomplete for EIGHT MONTHS. Jen does not treat her things with respect. Even her bedroom is a cluttered mess with paper bags and dropcloths

Please someone write her flowery language about sitting on the couch cuddling with her littles and watching a TV that’s 200 feet away behind two giant ugly chairs.

Watching entertainment from a distance, with obstacles, soothes my mama heart and creates a safe space. Knowing that the neighbors and random passerbys can see me aglow from my fireplace adds to my feelings of love, acceptance, and connection.

There are no words for how I feel about my little family. Even on the days my patience is stretched, they fill my whole heart. I cherish these moments of silliness since I know they won’t last forever.

So many say food is love, but to me, it’s so much more. While it’s obviously nourishment for the body, there’s something special about preparing food for your family. It truly is nourishment for the soul. It’s the ultimate gift because it’s both thoughtful and creative.
