One of the reasons he can't take asher out to drive at night is because daddy asher can't leave the kids at home alone. Even though judah would probably be able to watch them. But if something was to happen he wouldn't be able handle it. Also if asher does get his drivers license he would never drive anywhere as he doesn't like to leave the house. Thomas only seems to drive to work and back.I forgot asher does go with Tom on the monthly shopping trips. So what is Tom's excuse for not letting asher drive then? I think tom JUST doesn't want anyone else to drive his baby the new van.when they took that trip last summer he really didn't want april to drive it.the only reason he let her was because he was sick with the UTI.

I wonder if insurance is another reason Tom's dragging his feet on doing what he needs to do to help Asher get his license. Another driver is another insurance fee.
Insurance, plus something for him to drive. Asher will never be able to get a job because he is the Asshole's housewife. Getting the kids up, dressing Hannah, overseeing breakfast, overseeing school, helping with cleaning and laundry PLUS he's required to purchase bread with his paltry allowance. On top of all that, Fungus has him terrified to leave the house because he's made them afraid of the world and the people in it.
This poor kid is damaged and doomed. He'll never get out.

My mother was saddled with her siblings to babysit all the time. As a result she hated extra babysitting for even her own grandchildren. She used to say the only kids I like to be around are my own 2 children and grandchildren occasionally. Don’t bring grandchildren over for me to raise occasional babysitting.
Asher will want a break from kids IF he ever gets out. If I were he, I would join the service & get out of “dodge”

I will never forget the time Andrea said they stopped with all the medical intervention after Justus. She said this means home births and no vaccinations for Eden on down (was the plan at least, of course Claudia was born at the hospital) and yet they got Solomon circumcised so that the boys and dad would be a "matched set". Why do the family penises need to match? When are they all going to be showing them off at the same time for it to matter?! And it's hilariously scary that circumcision for visual reasons was more important to them than vaccination. This fact ALONE should make all Andrea-worshippers see the light. These people are so so so messed up.

I don't know about Wyoming's driving laws, but in my state in order to have someone with a permit driving, the licensed drive has to be 21 even if it is your sibling.

I don't see any of them ever living on their own. None of them have good social skills. Asher doesn't even LIKE to go anywhere outside the house. Most of them are full of anxiety, they feel safe in their bubble away from the outside world. It's sad.
