It's not about sexism and baking pies.
This woman went on a public rant ABOUT NOT BEING SAFE. She complained of being stalked in real life. She went on about not feeling safe.
Then she goes out alone in sketchy areas, overnight. While detailing out to the world about her "tools" for self defense.
I honestly think she was very safe where she was.
Not from cockroaches and nasty outdoor cooking area, but safe in general, from human predators. Less safe than in her Guardrail abode , but not in more danger than in Downtown Chicago.

What.the.hell.
HOW is she not scared of someone hacking through the canvas or watching her whilst she's cooking or going to the bathroom. What use is an axe going to be if you haven't got locking doors and WALLS?!!
I don't know if I'm just on edge and worked up because of the news today about exactly how Sarah Everard was kidnapped and murdered by a serving police offficer, and everything about Gabby Petito and Sabina Nessa last week.
She is being so smug about her safety, it doesn't bear thinking about.

That place didn’t look nice enough, or cute enough to call it “glamping”. It looked kind of dingy. And I have no idea why you’d want to travel 4 hours to a place that is sitting in the middle of miles and miles of cornfields. There are nicer lakes and camping places way closer to her. Also, as somebody else pointed out, Gerard is hardly southern Illinois. I’d call it central Illinois. And I feel like she called the shower “beautiful” or something close to it. And the toilet was impeccable and well-appointed or something. I’d call them adequate. And the tent didn’t look that cute. Kind of looked like old furniture you’d get at a garage sales. And the kitchen are looked grimy to me. I wouldn’t call it “vintage” just because it’s old. Also, she’s not a great photographer. She tried to show the s’mores in the dark with the light source behind the s’mores. She’s done this kind of thing several times in other videos as well.

As a native central illinois person Gerard is indeed considered southern illinois. It isnt part of the central area. Really anything south of Springfield is southern Illinois
