I did a lot of agency RN work there at the start of the pandemic. And let’s just say, i wouldn’t fly my family there for a vacation!!!

I remember her talking about being overseas in Italy and then the base they were at before ma and pa lemon retired and moved to Texas was in North Dakota. Since I don't know what capacity her parents worked at in the AF it's hard to say if they would've been stationed at Andrews. But that would be an hour commute each way.
It was probably cheaper to fly/stay in baltimore than DC.. -
