I'm going to try to hold off on putting up the tree until Thanksgiving. If it snows early in Chicago, all bets are off.
But I also think I should pull everything out so I don't buy duplicates. I'm doing a woodland theme this year!

Yay for a holiday board!
My 19 year old son, who occasionally has a grumpy old man temperment when hangry, just came into the kitchen mad at the fact people put up Christmas trees Nov 1. We have not had this discussion. Apparently he picked it up that it is a thing. He shuffled off grumbling... "Black Friday. Black Friday is Christmas Tree Day. Why do people push through Autumn?"
I gave him a cookie.
I also need to go up to the attic and comb through my wrap and decor. I missed the pom pom garland last year, silly me, shopping after thanksgiving. I don't like christmas up early (but to each their own) but I'll be damned it I get left out again this year due to early birds.

I moved and lost a ton of floor space in my first floor, so I'm a little lost as to what to do. I'm thinking of getting an artificial tree that is tall and skinny to capitalize on the little floor space I have. I live in the woods pretty much, so I don't feel so tied to having a real tree. Any other places/ideas for small space day-core (said with a Jen Ross affect)....?

Yay!
I am putting up my trees tomorrow! During 2020 I started making handmade Harry Potter ornaments out of paper. I ordered 1 Christmas tree and 4 arrived! So I have 4 Harry Potter Christmas trees in different themes 😊

LOL... how did you get 4 out of 1 ordered? I would love to make paper ornaments. I have watched a few Diane in Denmark christmas videos and I know that is sort of a big deal there...that and real candles on the tree, which I will kindly pass on

Well it was a translation error. I am in the Netherlands but I'm not fluent in Dutch. I thought I had ordered one but it turned out to be a four pack. Luckily I had enough ornaments to break off into themes
