Her house could literally be half the size they built and be so much better. When kids are gone and she’s old, that’s going to be way too much house to keep up.

She will be in another house by then. Crystal will never be happy anywhere. In the next couple of years she will have changed everything in this house and will be ready to move on elsewhere. I think she needs to talk to someone.

Does anyone just cringe when they see those barn door entrance to her office they look so out of place. That office is just in the wrong area and the entrance area is way to small for a bench and a table next to the front door.

She desperately needs some color in that house and larger scale items. She is not finding it easy to decorate such a large open space.

I think she’s going to regret building that house. She said it’s going to be her forever house. Unless she hires help with the sprawling floors she’ll be over trying to keep that place clean. I’m much older and can say that once the kids are gone a smaller house is much more appealing. I can’t think of anyone I know choosing to live in such a large house after 60.
It’s not a comfortable, homey house that’s for sure.

That fireplace would have looked so much better if the color of it was a contrast to all the white around it. If I was her I would have put in a rock fireplace, but I guess she was going for the sterile look for every inch of the house.

I think also that fireplace is too small for the area and it just doesn’t pop or highlight the area. When she was trying to decor the shelves next to it with the box of fake plants / greenery it was total cringe watching it for me. I would have liked to rearrange it

The whole kitchen is odd and oddly placed. It looks like it’s just off to the side, no windows. The outside door is inches from the cabinets.

The sad/angering thing is that is exactly what happened, not just us being snarky. Almost $900k dropped into your lap and now you can do Pottery barn and Ballard instead of Target and Hobby Lobby.
