My husband is a trucker and he regularly calls 911 to report people in distress that he sees in his travels. He does not then immediately post the details all over Facebook or social media Grow up Gene.

So, Jen is lecturing people on how to be prepared while hiking. Let's see.....her most important item - her Garmin Satellite Tracker, that sends her location and calls out in case of an emergency - was back in her vehicle. The battery was dead and it was attached to a backpack she wasn't using. Her whistle? She hasn't shown that in a long time, no idea where it is. Oh, you KNOW that she had enough food to last a normal person 3 days, though.

I love how Jen thinks that hiking alone in the wilderness is relatable to her average follower - women in their 30s and middle aged, probably married, probably with kids. Nope... none of them regularly go hiking and need a bunch of equipment so that they don't die alone.

This totally nails it - the pervasive loneliness of her content. She is getting harder to watch. In spite of her smugness I think she is becoming a tragic figure. Why does she insist on documenting her solitude for all the world to see?
