Instead of taking it for three walks a day?
Instead of allowing training that will help or solve the anxiety?

Such a good point! She should just hire someone! She always talks about how she’ll spend any money on her dogs, but she won’t let them have walks. She said it was too dangerous. But her brother somehow manages to do it. Plus, that is total nonsense.

Maybe because she won’t let them having training?
Or maybe she claims she lives in a dangerous neighborhood?
Where I live we have dog parks and the dogs are allowed to go have fun. We also have places you can drive in like five minutes and take your dog for a walk somewhere with no cars. Guess Iowa doesn’t have any options.

She could be nervous that if one or both ran off, she couldn't catch them or get them both back home. Could be a bad neighborhood and busy streets. Could be that your neighbors start chatting when you walk by and you don't feel up to dealing with it all.

I wonder if the danger she feels is due to the pugs being a brachycephalic type breed? You do need to use caution but short walks and light exercise is still important for these types of dogs as long as she’s using a harness rather than a collar. Weight control is a big deal too since they have so many potential health issues, it only makes sense to keep them at a healthy weight.

I don't care how many cookies she eats, whatever floats her boat. I do care about those doggys though. If someone has that many concerns about walking their dogs, why would they ever get dogs in the first place?
