My computer was having issues that my husband figured out. I joked with him that if he didn't figure it out, I might've had to send my computer to Tom to fix. Then I said, "Oh wait, then he'd see the gossip baker and all the history of this thread." And my husband said Tom seems like the type to snoop around in people's computers and even go as far as save photos of whatever is in there for his own personal use. I could see him doing that. I wonder if when he saves all the old ladies from porn on their computers, if he sits around and watches it first.

IF she exists, he's probably proposed to her a dozen times. No one is going to take on that fat, smelly, narcissistic loser. No one. There is no one to save his family. He obviously can't/won't do it. The poor children are having to raise themselves (with Kitty assisting whenever she could).

I haven't been able to stand watching Tom for a long while (I used to watch when Andrea was alive, but I find Tom repulsive). Has he still not physically gotten to meet this "girlfriend?!" Come on now. How long has it been?

I’m worried as well. You can definitely do all the “right things” and genetics or environmental causes can still get you. Look at trainer Bob from the Biggest Loser. He had heart disease and a heart attack despite his super healthy lifestyle. Healthy people do have health issues but statistically it’s the sedentary slobs like Tom who have the most health issues. I’m certain he has things going on like high cholesterol, high BP, possibly diabetic and maybe more but he doesn’t get anything checked because they don’t have health insurance, just some cost sharing Christian organization for hospital bills. That’s a total scam by the way.
He’s like one of those cockroaches that will live forever because he essentially eats garbage and will pickle himself alive. But for the kids’ sake, and only the kids’ sake I hope he does stick around because they don’t need to lose another parent.
I believe Kitty is around 70, right? If this is her first major illness she’s doing okay for herself. I think after treatment for whatever she has she will bounce back. At least that’s what I hope.
It seems like they don’t have a good group of medical professionals in that rural area. I live near a world-renowned healthcare conglomerate that people travel to from all over the world. I hope they get some answers soon.

yeah that what I was worried about if he was in school he might catch the attention of teachers with him being underweight
I think tubby is keeping him hidden for that reason

Grandma Kitty’s symptoms sound eerily similar to Andrea’s.
I really hope I’m wrong. 😑
The kids must be reliving the trauma of hearing about their grandma being in pain ( like their mom was for months ) , multiple ER visits, the Drs not knowing the cause ….
I hope I’m just jumping to conclusions and she will get her diagnosis of something treatable soon.
I’m also surprised how matter of fact Tom is about it? Not an ounce of empathy for his mom’s struggles, just cold, detached reporting. You can’t detect even a smidge of concern from him!
Or is it just me?

Well I'm not sure if you need some sort of diagnosis before you can go, but I live very far from Mayo Clinic yet many people I know go there for their health issues because they're so good. Just in my circle of friends I know of five people who went to Mayo for different reasons. Tom should load Kitty up and take her to some good hospital somewhere.

Tom never shows empathy for others. He WILL say things he thinks are expected of him but the emotion isn't there. The only time he shows emotion is when he is crying for himself.
Andrea in her last weeks before going to the hospital was still getting out of bed to make dinner. Tom also made that horrible video of him putting back rub on her. The video had no sound becasue she was in agony and crying out in pain. But Tom had to have his video views. He was trying real hard to LOOK like he was the caring, nurturing, husband but if he was truly caring he never would have put her on camera in her most vulnerable moments with the pain she was in.There was no other purpose than to have people feel bad FOR HIM and think he's Mr. Wonderful!!! The filming of her struggle, her in hospice, the kids in obvious shock, and even showing her corpse in the bed, would tell people he's no blessing in the worse of times.
Andrea would have never wanted to be seen like that becasue she was so self conscious she wouldn't even do a video if she had a cold. No human being should have been treated with such indignation in their last days.

With their Grandma in such poor health and also in pain, Tom's children should all be counselled and reassured by someone with genuine feelings. Tom isn't that person. He didn't even allow those children to receive bereavement counselling and now they watch and hear him speak so carelessly about his own Mother's health. What must they be thinking?
I don't even understand how Tom leaves his Mum alone in her home to suffer and cope when any decent human would either move in with her for the duration or move her in with them. She should be sleeping on the purple mattress, waited on hand and foot and shown how much she is loved and cherished. Tom could kip down on the expensive settee quite easily.
Even if she demurred when offered such care, a real son would make sure she felt it was what he wanted more than anything and that he'd consider it a privilege to look after her. It hurts me as a total stranger to think of Kitty all alone, scared and in pain. What an utter failure Tom really is.
I am vague as to the relative in California. Is she Tom's sister, Kitty's daughter? Because if she's a close relative then she too ought to be in Wyoming tending to the ailing Kitty or bringing her back to California to be looked after.
Thomas, Asher, Judah, Justus and Eden will be very worried. Solomon, Sophia and Claudia likewise. Only Hannah will be spared as she was too young when her Mummy died. But everyone loves Grandma Kitty, so gosh knows, they all deserve to be supported right now.
I wish someone would grab Tom Mills by the neck and slap the back of his head until he stopped being so bloody callously selfish and took a long, hard look at himself!

There is no reason for him to share about Kitty's symptoms or medical procedures or surgeries. IF Kitty was on a live stream and IF she shared that information, that's ok. It is not Tommo's information to share. It is very personal and private information about Kitty.
I bet it is very upsetting for the older kids right now because they remember how their Mom had a lot of abdominal pain, she went to the hospital and 10 days later she passed away. Kitty is the female family member who is most present in their lives and who is always there for them. Its obvious how much the kids love her. I bet they feel scared and worried knowing she is sick.
Tommo talks about what is going on with his Mom like she had toothache and went to the dentist. There is no emotion in his words or in his face. Kitty had problems with abdominal pain for a long time and nobody knows why yet. It could be something that is treatable and she will be ok. Or.......it could be something serious. Tommo should keep his mouth shut about his Moms medical situation. He is SO insensitive.

When TomMe has a toothache and goes to the dentist, he spends 3 days in bed making his kids wait on him hand and foot.
When his kids go to the dentist for root canals and tooth extractions, they are obligated to make sure they are wearing the color of the day, drop what they are doing when Alexa announces it's time for chores (twice a day) and continue to perform whatever role they have been assigned to so that asshole can slack off.
When TomMe has a urinary tract infection, he ends the one vacation the kids have taken in 4 years short so he can languish in bed and go to the ER! The ER for a UTI! Then he blathers on about how having a UTI is more painful than childbirth! Such a f-ing idiot in a world that he forces to revolve around him.
