How does she still have a yahoo email address? eta: Also, she does not come across to me as someone who is "always so filled with an unexplainable joy".

Her blogs have gotten so lazy. Why does anyone read it? Just a bunch of links or a short paragraph she could have tweeted or something.

QUOTE (Happy Tuesday! @ 3/29/2024, 01:09 AM) I worry about Ashby going in to middle school next year. Yeah, yeah, Shay has reassured us all that Ashby is SO READY for the change. But my kids were ready for middle school too, and they both had good experiences. However, they needed me to be emotionally available to them more than ever. Middle school years are just different. Puberty hits. Friendships change. I just doubt that Shay and Drew have genuine connections with their kids that they desperately need. Ashby’s eyes look blank at times, and she looks sad. She probably doesn’t even know what she needs from her mom. She may not feel safe showing sadness and anxiety. I don't think Shay cares what Ashby needs emotionally. She wrote her off as soon as she realized she was going to be in special ed and would never be a pretty, popular HiGh ScHoOL cHeErLeAdEr. Shay's only interest in her kids is in how she can use them to meet her own need for constant bragging rights, praise, and attention.

If you follow her on any of the blog sites like Feedly, it shows which blogs she posts and which ones Caroline does. I think Caroline does all her linking and most of her writing while Shay handles her favorite part, taking pictures of herself while smiling smugly at her reflection.

Shay the superior Jesus lover, best at her faith, best Christian, because she has the best God ever! Shay has such "unexplainable joy" every day from her G but that G is not her God but her almighty GREED!. I just love how she needs to be better than you at religion too! Let's all write her as she suggested so she can send us all a devotional, or whatever else she claims will make us better just like Shay! I think she must have ordered the bankrupt orange criminal's special $59.99 Bible. If you get sent one from Shay, make sure it is in a fire proof box as it may burst into flames at any moment. On behalf of us Christians who don't have Shay's enlightened superior faith and "unexplainable joy" everyday Happy Inferior Christian Easter!

Shays faith is 100% just another way for her to brag and be better than everyone else. So many people out there struggle with their faith or organized religion - not Shay, because she’s a better Christian than you.

Her religious superiority only proves that she doesn’t understand her Bible. If she did, she’d have a completely different lifestyle. One cannot serve two masters- both money and God. All of Matthew 6 would be really good for her to go over again. She has cherry picked the part about not worrying. And lots of people do that, they take what they want and leave the rest, but it’s her absolute insistence on doubling down about her superior faith that really bothers me, and she is so public about it. The Bible doesn’t exist so that people like Shay can smugly claim that they know all of God’s rules and are therefore #betterthanyou.

I read that the average house on Nantucket is worth $4M. Puts her shack in perspective.

Such losers! She is so obsessed with herself, it’s nauseating. It’s obvious why she only has one friend.

The way Shay talks about her Christianity - especially how she shows her Bible reading - is the main reason she's so especially strange to me. Like...image-conscious highly materialistic shallow consumeristic FAKE influencers are a dime a dozen. It's not hard to find competitive show-offs on Instagram. But it's unusual to come across a shallow materialistic competitive show-off who also reads through the whole Bible in a year in a disciplined, ongoing way.
I know there are many perspectives on faith represented here, but for those of us who claim the name of Christ, reading the Bible daily in a wholistic way (not picking and choosing, slogging through the whole thing) is life-changing. Shay shows herself doing the Bible Recap reading plan, which is one of those wholistic plans.
I actually believe she DOES do the readings...yet somehow, the scriptures don't convict her or prompt her to mature? She still has no qualms about displaying (actually, BRAGGING ABOUT) her excessive (wasteful) lifestyle, habitually misrepresenting the truth, giving fake exaggerated sales pitches to increase clicks on her links, demonstrating rampant levels of discontentment, reading (mostly) shallow trash for her dozen-books-a-month posts, and apparently so disconnected from her local church that she is able to be gone for weeks on end.
It's so WEIRD to me. She's been in church her whole life, says a lot of the right words (although I'd love to have a discussion with her about what Jesus really saved her from), displays the daily spiritual discipline of Bible reading - yet the majority of her focus is on chasing MORE of the shallow pleasures of this world. And bragging about it day after day. It makes no sense.

It's infuriating how she takes credit for recipes and ideas that aren't hers. She posted a recipe for Resurrection Rolls and says she's the author. She did not invent this idea or recipe. On her blog she could have said I do this with my family but got the idea from .... I know she's done this a lot but it's really maddening.
