| I just want to say that I have zero problem with people on disability. I know there are people that abuse it but there are SO many that use it just to live and get by. Harper_, you are spot on. I have a few older family members on disability because of joint diseases and autoimmune diseases among other things. People would have no clue they're disabled because they don't often use physical aids and the only time society sees them is when they actually feel good and capable of a trip out. And before you say "get an online job!"... It's not that easy. Two of the three f these family members have been tradies since they were teens when they should have been in school and frankly, they're basically functionally iliterate. They can barely navigate FB let alone MS Teams.
Mental delays and disabilities are just as "valid" as physical and I'm fine with Nate getting Gov Aid tbh. What I'm not okay with is Michelle happily taking that money from him and not using the many services that same system offers to help socialise people like Nate and learn skills so they can join the workforce.

I believe you are the one who is correct. I know they paid something big off and it must've been the debt because their whole thing back then was being frugal to pay down their debt. Cashing in your retirement for a fridge is absolutely insane. I remember the hip/chemo era! She had a PICC line when I first started watching, another reason I felt bad for her. Do you remember any of the other several channel names she's had? CBTL is the only one that stuck. Can't even remember what she was called when I found her videos.
Michelle and Bruce refuse to learn from their mistakes. Literally every decision in life they have ever made has shown that. |

| Michelle quit her job the second they paid off the shack. I highly doubt it was a coincidence that they got Nate's disability backpay not long before that. She was probably getting a carers payment when he was a minor but not sure about now. YT doesn't pay nearly as well for channels like hers, if much at all, unless she does lives and gets poor saps to donate to her which she doesn't do. and she's too proud to do the Glenda Sully thing.
She's living off Bruce, Nate, and the government. |

| I can't believe Gizz passed. I didn't know her like some of you did but I don't think I'd be wrong in saying she was a legend in these threads. You didn't even have to see the username to know it's Gizz lol. As many have said, she had a "colourful" yet hilarious way of getting her point across. My thoughts go out to all of you, her family, and IRL friends. I mean, just, wow... That's incredibly sad and jarring. She was only a few months older than my mum.
No way Gizz would want us to stop snarking on, and therefore pissing off, The Brydge Trolls. It definitely won't be the same without her. RIP. |
