I am still reading "The Good Left Undone" by Adriana Triagiani - I'm enjoying it but just haven't had the time I would like to finish it. It is set during WWII but it is set in Italy (mostly) and in present day - I usually stay away (recently) from novels set during that time because well, I've read so many but I'm enjoying this one and am about half way through.

Just finished listening to "The Zig Zag Girl" by Elly Griffiths - I guess this is a cozy mystery - it was a fun listen.

I am now listening to "Convenience Store Woman" by Sayaka Murata - it's short - about 3 hours and I'm a third of the way through. I'm not entirely sure the point, yet, of the story, but I'm enjoying listening to it.

...Boy, I wonder when she’ll be back? Will we see everything being packed away? Will she use that as ORGANIZING content? I’m still thinking about that Christmas video & how weird it was. I think it actually showed more than she expected it to.

Her content for months has been awful, so it has to get better, right? Well, at least her annual depression & whining will be entertaining.

    C’mon Dar, it’s almost 2024…..do something :whipping:

I bet we get a tour of her new freezer. I actually think she already bought one. There is no way her food hoarding heart could be without one.

So what was the Travises' contribution?

The hypocrisy of Darlene claiming she's all about meaningful and magical Christmases and her constant shopping, but then being so stingy and exploitive with the program that gives Andrew a life. Tell us how much you resent Andrew without telling us you resent Andrew.

It's hilarious watching Darlene's Vlogmas and it sure looks like she spent the month mostly alone.

When did Andrew do much of anything fun, festive, and magical in the Travis house? Darlene never even let him bake those Grinch cookies. LOL, remember a couple of years ago when she said he baked something every Sunday? Darlene and Steve obviously prefer if he doesn't accompany them to breakfast at a restaurant. Let RISE make his fun happen.

I think Steve running errands is less about him helping out and more about him wanting to get out of the house.

Yeah, yeah, Darlene keeps her family off of her channel because her channel is about *her* and her journey as a woman. That's an odd approach to take when you're trying to present your December as being all about magical, meaningful, family memories. Steve might as well live in another country for all of the references to him while, on camera, he must remain nothing more than a pair of feet in socks shuffling by, if even that.

Interesting how he didn't wear that stupid musical tree hat Darlene said he needed for the party. Shut the hell up Darlene. I'm so sick and tired of your lies. I hope you choke on your next adult beverage with your freezer cookies you beeping horrid witch.

Itworksformyfamily, yes, it sure sounded like Darlene cleans her sofa once a season - and not even by washing her slipcover, but merely by vacuuming and Febrezing it. Two dogs on it all day and fabric cologne is her idea of "cleaning." She seemed proud she does this once every few months.

If vacuuming made for sufficient cleaning, people would vacuum their hard floors and never bother to wet mop them.

Darlene absolutely has time to take care of her health. She just enjoys her martyr narrative that she's sooo busy caring for other people, she doesn't have time for herself. She can make a salad in less time than it takes to make breakfast cake, but she wants cake more. She's full of BS. No, Dar deserves pity, not questions about how her mom living in a retirement home means Dar has time only for cake at breakfast.

But Darlene knows. She knows. She generally goes to great lengths to keep her body off camera. She's wearing black all of the time, and she's told viewers that's her safety color when she doesn't feel good about the way she looks. Why isn't she modeling that festive red plaid blazer for us?

I guess she forgot about the time they laughed at gma and she watched her movie alone…Darlene is rewriting history again…she might want to concentrate on her own memory loss…it’s very noticeable these days…I’m surprised she’s not securing a new blue wardrobe for the DarDepression coming up…she gonna decorate the house for it…

She has nothing but partial truth and straight out lies…

    She’s a known liar now…and I’m glad everyone knows…

Thank you Kayla for staying on her neck about hunter…he’s been off for a couple of months and yes, it sounds like she’s ready to put him down…

Lonely old hag in search of Christmas joy…

    The Psychology of Darlene:

Me, and probably a lot of people: a display of seasonal items on October 6th: Yay, it's now the start of the Holiday Season! oh, nice. Look at all this new stuff for the Holidays! I'm just now thinking I might need something....<joy>

Darlene: same stuff, same day: look at all this crap that's left that nobody wants. All the rejects. All the stuff the stores cannot sell. They moved it all upfront in order to get somebody, anybody to buy it. Losers....<entitled condescending bitch>

Think anyone's brushed My-uh's hair lately

Fucking dollar tree haul. When was the last time anyone of us has spent over $100 at a dollar tree? The most I’ve spent is maybe $10. Maybe. I don’t shop it regularly.

When she said new videos were coming I assumed she actually had videos filmed and cued up ready to go but seems like that wasn’t the case. She better not claim the wildfires prevented her from doing her ‘job’ because that is bullshit.
  12. .
That “crying” in the video was preformative. How she switched back and forth between her fake tears to being an idiot about the Florida panhandle and back again was unnerving.

What's up with those lines? I'd be pissed.

    Of course she's spending $$$$
If she doesn't Mark will on fancy liquor.

Watching vee show more crap from a haul - I am wondering if she even puts this stuff away - or is their multiple boxes / bags just thrown in the office or a closet .
I cannot see how or why anyone would want all this crap in their house !!
So the girls have ruined her table with painting …. Why would one let them paint at a table that they don’t want ruined ?
    So strange .
Also why buy them so much art crap constantly ?
Enroll them in an art class somewhere . Surely you have the money to do so 🙄
Also she bought them makeup to wear to the wedding if they want to ?
Aren’t they a little young to be allowed to wear makeup to a family gathering / wedding ?
    So strange .
Also she didn’t share what she’s talking about of course but by the end of the summer she has plans to do something that will make her in the public eye more .
What the hell can that be ? 🙄
If it even happens . No clue why she even opens her mouth about her secret plans and ideas .
And why can’t she take Paige out for a spa day for her birthday or something 🙄
Instead they will all be sitting around the air bnb with dollar tree face masks . I know they aren’t normal
But if I was doing something for my teen daughter who lived states away … I would want it to be a special mom and her type of date to do something .

I agree about Paige’s birthday. Isn’t Paige near Chicago. Get tickets to a show, go to an actual spa for a massage and facial, go to a fancy dinner, go to a fancy shopping mall and let Paige pick out a designer purse or something that will last her her adult life.

Or since Paige loves to cook, how about a good chef's knife, a cast iron pan or a Dutch oven? Something that's hard to afford when you're just starting out but is an invaluable tool in the kitchen.

Same here, I don't read fantasy much. I've read a few Sarah J Maas and I like her worlds and characters
