She isn't following her own logic.
She meal preps and sets up Adam, a capable adult, to make life easier so SHE can get pats on the back. He is a grown adult. I am sure he can help get himself and the kids to eat. And we all know it's junk food, not her "healthy" meal preps. No one is eating the fruits and salads. |

| There can be twice exceptional kids and he could fit that. There are brilliant kids with IEPs for learning disabilities or Autism. My child is one of them.
And that is all I will say. I feel bad for any kids of social media camera in your face oversharing parents. They didn't ask for this.

She mentions "comments" in last video. I went back to read the few comments she has had with no mention of what she said in newest video. Girl has been reading here.
Yes prices stink. Yes costs across the board have gone up. Do prices stay stagnant? Never.
But she is so off on her "facts." |

| Does Mindy have a job away from YT? I ask because her kids are older yet she acts like she has zero time to make more than 1 video a week while her husband is away.
Does she homeschooling 1 of her 3? Video recently she said only 2 are in school.
Hopefully this new job doesn't affect her kids. I saw how hard travel was on friends growing up (truckers, business persons, military). It was never easy on my friends and for some effected their adult relationships with their parent. |

| Are the moving to an apartment? The window seems quite high due to where the trees are.
Good for them for moving out though. That is a positive step forward.
Hopefully Boston and Shaley continue to see Oma and Opa and have positive family time with them and get love and support where ever they move to. |

| I, unlike Jia, keep a price sheet of commonly bought items from stores for my family. I update every 3 months.
She is so very wrong about inflation. You also can NOT compare prices to Covid prices.
Maybe first don't buy produce out of season, especially in an area that has to bring food in from other states. Some farmers were actually pulling harvest early in anticipation of Covid and strawberries were quite early that year. I have bought farm fresh berries in early February before. Certain varieties are early while others later in the season.
She also does not take into account increase in shipping, labor, farming. All that easily accounts for price increase.
Second, get it right. You can not compare various sizes or organic to non organic.
While keeping track most items have come down.
I have recently seen a jump of $1 for eggs and chicken (per pound) due to California chicken bird flu issues.
Also, canned items have skyrocketed recently, some going up by 50-70 cents a can.
I also wonder how one small carton of berries lasts her girl a whole week. I get the biggest size available and we go through 2 of those a week.
Jia is in a midlife crisis with her YT channel. Girls are getting older, she raided her home to declutter, her girls don't need her as much...she has no life beyond complaining about prices.
Girl, we know!! Stop already.
I wouldn't mind helpful ways to cut costs but stop complaining. It's super old.
I will say I did enjoy her shop with me videos and then cook alongside. She enjoyed doing that and it was neat to see new recipes.
But these shop with me and compare prices videos are not good.
Either fix it and make changes and share how you are doing that to save money or just stop. |

| I feel so bad for Jia's sister. Not everyone can cook and not everyone likes what others fix. If her sister enjoys what she made, that is all that matters. Jia comes off as such a foodie snob thinking her food is the best ever.
That stuffing looked like cat vomit. I wouldn't touch that for 100 million dollars. |

| So Mormon Stories Podcast is doing a 3 part series with 2 former LDS members. The wife's dad is part of some prepper group and went into detail all the things needed to be called upon.
I have a feeling Kimmy's family is part of that cult (on top of being in the LDS cult).
No wonder she has such bad anxiety!!
And I feel for Shaylee and Boston, but more so Shaylee to be in that "home" with Kimmy's crazy buying habits and stuff they stock up on.
I now also wonder if thar is what got them in financial trouble. Or one of the reasons.
Seems like a lot of these LDS preppers have to buy in even if not financially in a place to do so.
The wife's grandma helped her family a lot due to bad financial decisions by her dad.

| | Not sure if this is okay to share, but Mormon Stories Podcast did a great post on this with Jordan and McKay today. The part that stuck out as to why people watch these family vloggers was that they are seeking out what they didnt get as kids. They are seeking validation and that connection and they get that when the family comments back and includes them in their daily lives. |
