So she spent a crap ton of money on things like shirts and pins that never even got taken off their cardboard holders (!!), stuffed in a bin in the basement, and forgotten about - in spite of the fact that (a) she had to move it to the new house and (b) in all of her waxing nostalgic about those early races, she never once remembered that she had it.

It's a beautiful tribute, but I just can't get over Jen giving it a like. She hates people and I don't think she can identify with the message. This fricken bitch idiot really went to NYC alone. Easily one of the most magical christmas places in this country.
She doesn't want to share any magic with them EVER!!! It's not even that she clearly cannot handle them by herself, but its moreso the fact that she doesn't even want to do it for herself. She gets no joy from doing this stuff with them, that makes me the most sad. Because that is never going to change, if it hasn't changed by now.
I'm not saying I would want to take two young kids to NYC by myself, but she wont even drive them INTO CHICAGO. ITS RIGHT THERE.
Theres a god damn Chriskindlmarket, ice skating at Millenium park, there are holiday trolley tours (I think maybe they still have those, I used to drive them hah), the Lincoln Park Zoo
I'm just so annoyed with her because she has so much money and won't even do the free, easy shit. Families with way less do more for their kids. It’s outrageous. I don’t even have kids and I’m just like….wtf. How can her patrons not see what a gigantic POS she is? Both to her children, and to Winnie. She not only can’t help her children experience the multitude of beautiful and fun holiday experiences available to her in Chicago….she goes out of her way to try to make them as neurotic as she is with the sound machines, post it notes over the toilet sensors, catering to all their picky eating, their sensitivities to noises and lights, etc. She is doing those kids a huge disservice. It’s awful. And I’ve come to believe that Don leaving her and finding a woman whose prime directive isn’t “choosing herself” may be one of the best things he has done (and possibly will ever do) for his kids. Jen is absolutely toxic to Charlotte and Donny. And I’ve said this before…but I think more than her putting his meat in the garage or closing the wonderland…the way she treated his children absolutely repulsed him and is probably the main reason her ass got left.
