When I was a floor nurse (spoiler alert: I've finally "graduated" to hospital admin), we were not allowed to have nails that extended beyond our fingertips, nor could they be painted. Now that I have an office job, I've been trying to grow out my nails and get bi-weekly manicures, but I'm considering giving up. There is just so much yucky grossness under those things, I can't get over it. Also, it's getting expensive at $50/visit. But mostly? They just don't last long as I've been busy in the garden and doing house projects.

To each their own, but the perfection of Becky's nails is the greatest proof that she's neither a homesteader nor a devoted gardener. Sometimes, I even feel a little bit sorry for her. She's gotten herself into this position where she has to produce content which is contrary to the "Real Housewives of Washougal" life she really seems to desire. But she's trapped, and has NO idea what to do about it, so she just hopes the majority of her viewers won't notice.

Did you see the video where Ruby said she cleared out all the bank accounts and hid the money in pillow cases and bags? She was planning to make a run for it. I teared up seeing Russell battered and bone thin struggle to walk to the neighbors house begging for help.

I don't get Becky and her ton of different tomatoes. I'm quite the beginner, or should I say starter again as I haven't done any decent gardening for years. I only grew some flowers and not even every year since moving to UK.
For tomatoes I picked beef tomatoes since we love them on burgers and sandwiches and in salad and some roma tomatoes for some sauce and soup making. That is it. Just a seed packet of each. No color varieties or anything. Plain and simple. Oh I'll also be gettind 2 or maybe 3 cherry tomato plants. I use these a lot on veggie platters for us during weekends or days the boys are off school.
But then again I don't have a field full of coffins to grow all the different sorts of whatever I want to grow this year.

Wow. How I wish when my son was a 1 yr old I could have all the time to set up and have a 30 person dinner party and then the day after have FOUR hours to myself to play with seeds! No, honestly I loved spending time with my son, and still do 33 years later, so it would have made me miserable to spend 4 hours at home without him at that age. Becky, you have no idea all you are missing with your son. He will be grown before you know it and all you will have is your little seeds. Go down to one video a week and spend time with your son. He needs his mom!
