When I was a floor nurse (spoiler alert: I've finally "graduated" to hospital admin), we were not allowed to have nails that extended beyond our fingertips, nor could they be painted. Now that I have an office job, I've been trying to grow out my nails and get bi-weekly manicures, but I'm considering giving up. There is just so much yucky grossness under those things, I can't get over it. Also, it's getting expensive at $50/visit. But mostly? They just don't last long as I've been busy in the garden and doing house projects.

To each their own, but the perfection of Becky's nails is the greatest proof that she's neither a homesteader nor a devoted gardener. Sometimes, I even feel a little bit sorry for her. She's gotten herself into this position where she has to produce content which is contrary to the "Real Housewives of Washougal" life she really seems to desire. But she's trapped, and has NO idea what to do about it, so she just hopes the majority of her viewers won't notice.

Real Housewives of Washougal, I'm dying. :-D

I haven't even watched the video, I just saw the title, and I am so bloody sick of the "all the things" expression. Becky's not the only one who uses it but she uses it CONSTANTLY.

150 frost free days to grow.
    Good luck with that!
She'll be down to the wire with that.
The soil also needs to be warm, which she wont have until at least late june

I'm in the Seattle area and attempted them last year, but I also started them at the beginning of JANUARY and only got a couple small ones that never even fully dried out before the end of the season. She's such moron.

I had to google bisquick... Basically it is a pancake mix? We usually use breadcrumbs or rusk (dried toasted bread) for meatballs and meatloafs. Not always but still quite often.

It's basically a dry ingredient mix that is used as the base for lots of things - pancakes, waffles, biscuits, etc. Can be used for casseroles, meatballs, and most anything that calls for bread crumbs. The recipe has changed over the years but it's basically flour, sugar, i think powdered milk, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. With all kind of other preservatives added in.

I watched the questioning of Kevin. Just more evidence that he is a POS. It was a man and a woman interviewing him and the dude cop was having none of it. He was like uh....make it make sense that you had absolutely NO idea that any of this was happening to YOUR CHILDREN. And his behavior seemed more performative than genuine. He seemed more afraid for himself than worried for his children. I'm not a religious person. I don't believe in the devil or heaven or hell, but these people are pure evil.

Jesus f**king Christ, the layers upon layers of insanity with these two. It keeps getting worse the more that info gets released. I hope neither of them see the light outside the prison yard ever again.

Did you see the video where Ruby said she cleared out all the bank accounts and hid the money in pillow cases and bags? She was planning to make a run for it. I teared up seeing Russell battered and bone thin struggle to walk to the neighbors house begging for help.

Yes OMG! And then her saying "They can't DO that, they can't just take peoples' money!" They are both so completely delusional, it's frightening. And the poor daughter, seeing how emaciated she was when the police brought her out of the closet. It broke my heart and completely enraged me.

In the video about the grow room flooring, she said Josh and I had the "brilliant idea" of removing the contents from the big ass cabinet before moving it. Like, duh? This woman is so f**ing dumb, HOW does she still have any followers?

You're definitely not the only one. Awful.

I don't get Becky and her ton of different tomatoes. I'm quite the beginner, or should I say starter again as I haven't done any decent gardening for years. I only grew some flowers and not even every year since moving to UK.
For tomatoes I picked beef tomatoes since we love them on burgers and sandwiches and in salad and some roma tomatoes for some sauce and soup making. That is it. Just a seed packet of each. No color varieties or anything. Plain and simple. Oh I'll also be gettind 2 or maybe 3 cherry tomato plants. I use these a lot on veggie platters for us during weekends or days the boys are off school.
But then again I don't have a field full of coffins to grow all the different sorts of whatever I want to grow this year.

When I first started gardening I went a little overboard with trying new varieties of everything, but I realized very quickly that it didn't make sense. So now I just grow what we like to eat and what we can preserve. I've pared down the varieties of what we do grow, and have stopped growing some things altogether because we don't eat them enough to justify the space in the garden. We never see Becky eating anything fresh out of her garden so I cannot comprehend why she is growing so much of EVERYTHING. Make it make sense.

her bread always look terrible and her reliance on commercial yeast means it probably taste like salty cardboard

Soda bread isn't made with yeast, it uses baking soda as the leavening agent. That being said, I've never seen soda bread that looks like THAT.

Wow. How I wish when my son was a 1 yr old I could have all the time to set up and have a 30 person dinner party and then the day after have FOUR hours to myself to play with seeds! No, honestly I loved spending time with my son, and still do 33 years later, so it would have made me miserable to spend 4 hours at home without him at that age. Becky, you have no idea all you are missing with your son. He will be grown before you know it and all you will have is your little seeds. Go down to one video a week and spend time with your son. He needs his mom!

The thing is, I don't think she even cares. I think she can't wait for him to be grown so she doesn't have the additional responsibility/time away from what SHE wants to do. She is completely dissociated.

I'm under the weather. I've been in bed and found 2 channels I've never watched before.

Homesteading with the Zimmermans. I really like it. I live in an apartment so I won't be doing a lot of what she makes - lol.

Rich Fierce Money. Another budgeting channel but she doesn't seem like one of those homeschooling psychos that seem to fill that niche.

No offense to those who homeschool. I have 2 kids and could barely get through lock down with remote school. if you homeschool and haven't lost your mind, I'm impressed. I'm just saying that half of those budgeting channels always seem to be by Mormon moms who failed at scamming with an MLM.

I don't align with her beliefs AT ALL, but she is very resourceful! I was following her on Insta for a bit and got some good info.

Food/nourishment is vital for kids' development. It is child abuse/neglect to withhold food/nourishment. Full stop.

I'm new to her channel and keep think I'm mishearing her pronounce "onions" How could a person mispronounce it so many times. She is so odd.

Have you picked up on Spinage yet? That's how she says Spinach.

Spinage is worse than ungyuns to me. Both are like nails on a chalkboard, but spinage is slightly worse to my ears.
