I thought I was just fine last year. I took the incentive of $500 from my employer for annual labs and physical. At 193 pounds my A1C was 12.1 and my triglycerides were in the 600s. I’ve made a complete lifestyle change that’s not just for 8 weeks but a lifetime. A1C is now at 7.4, cholesterol is normal and I’m down 23 pounds.
Wow! Those numbers are shocking. It just goes to show that sometimes things can seem fine on the outside but they are not. Great job changing your lifestyle! It's obviously improving your health. You seem well on your way to getting your A1C back into a normal range. 🙂
I completely changed the way I eat about 2.5 years ago and it has been so good for me. I've lost 60 lbs and have seen numerous health improvements. I've never gotten A1C numbers, but my triglycerides went from 100 to 23! Since I'm into running, a huge benefit to me has been that I have been able to improve my 5K time by 5 full minutes. I don't know about you, but I sure didn't accomplish this by eating pop tarts! -

Also once again i have to say…why does she love doing these things without her kids?? The entire time i would be saying “oh the kids would love this!” I would NEVER keep going away without my children. Never. We actually like being with them. Maybe lemons kids are SERIOUS BRATS and she can’t stand being around them?
They most definitely are and that's because she and her husband have checked out. I guess if you want to like your kids don't raise them to be assholes.
Shes a shitty, selfish mom who has taken 2 vacations in as many weeks while her kids and husband are home. -

Extra curricular activities can give kids so much, my daughter has downs syndrome and she is in gymnastics, drama, dance, swimming and soccer, it's such a brilliant social experience, she has so many friends even little friends that have learned some sign language, it's giving her so much confidence and teaching her about social etiquette, it's so important for all kids to experience that, I know that it takes up time and effort on the parents part but, isn't that what being a parent is about? Lemon said before that her kids aren't interested but that's because she's not positively encouraging it because she's lazy, I hope her girls stay at gymnastics, rose will benefit so much from it, but lemon never seems happy about it when she talks about it, like it's a hassle -

Ok moms tell me if I'm to harsh on my kids, the 2 oldest have to each plan 1 dinner a week and cook it! Make the list , I will shop for it, if they want me too, I believe it's important to teach life skills! They have chores! And need to figure out their chores ( clean their bathroom, their room, 1 dinner a week) I usually do all the laundry, I enjoy laundry. I see Lemons kids absolutely doing nothing! My girls have been emptying the dishwasher since 9 yrs old! They rinse their plates and put them in the dishwasher. This is important to learn. My girls know how to balance a checkbook and they have a debt card, they also have part time jobs! -

I know there is a point that kids need a cell phone because there aren't pay phones around anymore and you can't be sure they will have access to another phone. But I'm for just an easy dumb phone for a long time... like a cheap flip or something. Kids don't need smart phones. The lemon drops will drop and break their new phones within a month of receiving them, without a doubt. -
