While she was filming herself walking around Chicago, didn’t anyone get a sense of her being a “granny”, specially when she twirls the camera with that wide grin, and then lifted her eyebrows. I could only see a grandma doing that, feeling awkward filming herself with other people around, but acting excited over her environment.

The bow in her hair does nothing for her. It needs to be burned. Ans also, how does she keep wearing ill fitting sunglasses??? They don’t do her any favors either. Yikes, she needs a lot of help.

Those shots of herself in Chicago, like the ones in New York, are what I think of as her “That Girl” poses. IYKYK.

Remember the name of "That Girl"'s boyfriend? :mocking_smiley_emoticon: KayTee

Disagreeing isn't flaming, and it's not trolling.

    Let's move along.

Or take it over to debates or whatever it's called.

Telling a mod to "move on" is disrespectful.

My vote for her word of 2022:

    Brave

    Or

    Courage

And if I’m correct I’m going to be very depressed because that means I’m tracking way too closely with her mindset. 😂

Those must be his one pair of go-to, fancy pants. I cannot imagine him having an assortment of puce/salmon/faded rust slacks.

Well, when you’re outfitting one wife in Gucci & Cartier & buying her a new McMansion & hiring housekeepers & nannies while financing your ex-wife’s new “Travel w/ Wonder” phase, you can only get yourself one pair of slacks.

I lost some respect for Adele after watching that interview.

I still have tremendous respect for her talent and the hard work to get where she is. But, and this is my cynicism coming out loud and clear, I suspect that in 5 years she will find herself with another child or two and divorced yet again unless she realizes that GD lied to her and that marriage is not about feelings. I hope I'm wrong because I really do like her and wish her well.

And I have a headache from pondering the ego boost that GD got from Adele saying that her book changed her life.

Like Good Ol’ Suze said upthread, GD is just monetizing the cycle. Shame on her.

So I was already disturbed by parts of the interview with Adele the other night. Loved the concert.... loved, loved, loved it! But now after seeing this interview with GD, I understand more about Adele's reasons for divorcing her husband. It was painful to watch her talk about how when her son asked her "why don't you love Daddy any more?" she said "I do love him, I'm just not IN love with him". HOW is a 6 year old (her son's age at that time) supposed to understand that?

I still love Adele, but it's frightening that even someone with her resources and experience was taken in by Glennon's toxic bovine excrement.

Jen with her much more narrow life experience did not stand a chance in the face of someone offering her a false sense of hope that she can remain a child and honor her feelings despite the obvious fact that most adults understand---our feelings are not facts, and they are not a reliable barometer that what we are doing is correct.

Jen was not the only person at that restaurant with a hat on. I think the seat she was given was about the lack of reservations and the whole party-of-one does not get to take up a table for more when it's crowded.

My amateur opinion is that she wanted/needed validation for her accomplishment of hiking that far at altitude , and she didn't get it, and she was smarting from that.

She didn't read the fine print on her tickets stating "Warning, you have purchased a vacation in the real world, and are not going to the bubble of The Happiest Place on EarthTM...everyone does not get a prize here, and nobody's job description is to pretend that you are royalty".

harassing children is a new low but nothing surprises me anymore

do any of you know anyone that is losing their job due to not getting vaccinated? an old friend posted "pray for those of us about to lose our jobs to protect our freedom" and I was just like :10:

she's a freaking nurse. first of all don't nurses have to stay up to date on tons of vaccines for obvious reasons?! but she won't get this ONE because...freedom

what are these people going to do that are willing to lose their job to make a point? where do they think they'll work? I should add that she just graduated this year and is a new nurse...but not for long I guess 🥴

Yes most RN's have to have the hep, flu, and one other I think. I do not understand why it's ok to take those but not the COVID vaccine. Only reason I can come up with is that it is now a political issue?

Your babies are adorable, and thank you for that information. I never realized that the brachy breeds struggled with swimming. Now I'm even more incensed about the whole paddle board debacle than I was before.

I really hate to burst anyone's bubble, but to think that medical practice is going to be all wrapped up in a neat and tidy bow before it is delivered to you with an ironclad promise of zero untoward effects is living in a world that does not exist. And to think that doctors are incompetent or are somehow lying because they ADAPT their practice and recommendations based on the best current research is just ridiculous.

Google Catherine the Great and the smallpox vaccine.

Check out this book on the history of medical innovation:

There have always been, and always will be risks inherent in medical treatment, and to deny this is hiding your head in the sand. Yes, it's scary to get a relatively new vaccine for a virus that is nonlethal to the vast majority of people. But that is how pandemics are stopped.

    “Look at meeeeee!” #TransparentLikeJen

Based on all I’ve heard, Glennon Doyle is popular because she legitimized self-absorption.

Party of 7, we think alike! Jen is all about “look at meeee!” :snickering:

She didn’t just legitimize it, she made it a virtue. Job security for therapists is golden due to all the fallout from her toxic baloney.

Oh Marnificent , that is so terribly, terribly sad.

We had to leave a church because of their stand on masks and social distancing. It was heartbreaking. What part of love your neighbor and put yourself last do people not understand?

I was sadly comforted by an article that (based on polling) stated that only 6-8% of people who call themselves evangelicals hold to the basic tenets of the orthodox Christian faith. I'm afraid that is what we are seeing played out. It's all megachurches, smoke, and mirrors and very little Jesus.

    Sounds like a cat.

This is why I have dogs. I'm too needy to own a cat; although I have loved and been loved by some wonderful cats in my life. 😻
